To all writers, both aspiring and old, remember this:

You don't only write for your readers. Primarily, you write for yourself. You write to bring characters to life. You write to improve yourself. You write because it makes you feel happy. You write for your own sake, and if someone tells you otherwise, or if you yourself feel otherwise...Is writing still something that you truly want to do?

Remember, no one can force you to write for them. You have no obligation to them. You have an obligation to yourself, and if it no longer feels right, why do it?
