I'm on FB 99% of the time.

Although I don't hang out there much anymore.

I still consider myself a Sixth Gun even though I don't listen to them much anymore.  I didn't care for the last albums...

About Me

Hey, everyone.  I'm Kerri.  I try to go by Kabuki on the internet.  I'm just a girl living in Tokyo.  I teach kindergarten and its really exahusting and frustrating most of the time teaching little monsters that understand nothing you say.  When I first came onto Asainfanfics I was still in my grad school program.  That was five years ago.  Alot has happened since then.  I moved to Japan, I'm invested in this job, I got a boyfriend here.  I miss Iowa (not Idaho, not Ohio, IOWA) and American food and I HATE Japanese work culture (everything else is cool, though, but working here is so inefficient!).

Anyways, yeah...my life is basically going to work, coming home, and sleeping.  I became an official company worker with the company so I have alot more responsibilities.  I edit stuff for the school, I teach an after school art class, I make artwork for the school events and stuff.  Basically I don't have alot of freetime.  You know what they say about Japanese salarymen?  Yeah, that's my life.

But I do find time to do other stuff.  I'm really into sumo.  I go to the bouts whenever possible in Tokyo.  Big Mitakeumi fan here!  And I like to hang out in this bar in Yoyogi where the bartender flatters me alot and slips tequila in my boyfriend's drink when he isn't looking.  I like going to cat cafes with my friend.  I'm a farmgirl and I can't have pets in my Tokyo apartment so cat cafes make up for that.  I like making crafts too and I still write whenever possible.

My music tastes have changed alot since coming to Japan.  I used to be a big Visual fan.  I still like Visual music and style but that scene has pretty much died in Japan.  I still like GazettE but not to the extent that I used to.  I am still a big Bigbang fan, however.  If I could get tickets I would see them, but its actually quite hard...I'm actually really into bluegrass music now.  I like a little bit of everything actually when it comes to styles and genres of music, but bluegrass is my thing now.  Like The Dead South and Chris Stapleton kind of stuff.  But I can listen to bluegrass one day, Bigbang the next, then 80's, then Spice Girls.  I'm really not picky (unless its like Bieber...ew).

Well that's me in a nutshell.  If you're ever in Tokyo, look me up.  We can drink and eat gyoza together!
