Originally, and will forever continue to be, of the Jrock/VK flock (nine glorious years and counting baby), I'm a life long writer who's spent the past six years floating listless around the world of fanficition, first as Brilliantdream on LJ and now as Reiyezerwyre here on AFF. As a writer I have no delusions of grandeur. I'm no Tolkien, Rice, King, Wilde, or Rowling, regardless of how much at times I fantasise about being as accomplished as them. 

No. Simply having the time, means and inspiration to write is enough for me. To escape beyond what is and explore what is possible or even impossible as the case may be.

A dreamer by default, and an idealist at heart I aim to write the kinds of stories I want to read. Characters you love to hate, the morally ambiguous, the unfortunate way life can play out and the action, suspense and drama that keeps you hooked. My muses, though fickle and at times contrary, drive me to keep aiming for this very much unattainable ideal of the perfect story that encompasses everything I love about my favourite stories. Though I dare say I fail most of the time. 

My only hope as an amateur writer, with little hope of ever attaching my name to a best seller in any other way than writing it inside the cover of a Patterson novel, is that those of you who read my works find something about them enjoyable or worth remembering. If my readers can walk away with just that then maybe its been worth it.
