The rain had stopped as Mike left his apartment building, before he left he grabbed two of his cherished guns and some rounds. He wasn't going to go unprepared. He called up some people. "Hey Kenji, I need a favor. Something weird went down with Niddie's parents. I need you to come watch my apartment, she's there alone. Make sure no one gets to her. Then I want you to call the guys to meet me at her house and to strap themselves. Not sure if anything is going down, but I don't want to risk it either. My dad? Don't let him know what we're doing. Alright later." Mike arrived at Niddie's house. It was a huge sprawling mansion. Oddly the cops had yet to arrive. They must've taken out everyone who was in the house. He waited in the shadows for the rest of his gang to arrive. It was eerily quiet. From his position he couldn't tell if there was anyone else in the house. He waited for ten minutes and four other guys showed up seperately. Pup, Dao, and Mak -- they were Mike's best friends and personal bodyguards. Kenji, was Mike's right hand, the closest thing Mike had to brothers. Mike and the four guys had gone through the harshest of tests together, and they were the five to come out on top. It was expected of Mike but for the other four it was a chance of a lifetime. Mike had been their to push them and Mike had always been the one to get their asses out of trouble. He was there when they needed someone the most, and they were never going to turn their backs on him.

Once the last person arrived Mike looked at all of them. "Something went down tonight. I'm not sure what, but Niddie told me that someone, I'm not sure how many, came in and killed everyone in the house. Only she got away. She wanted to come back but I told her I'd check it out for her. So we're going to make rounds and check the place out before the cops get here. I don't know if there is anyone inside. I've been watching for 10 minutes but I haven't seen anything. So be careful." He explained. The other guys nodded, Mak started handing out headsets to everyone so that they could be in touch. They checked their equipments and then Mike led them to a secret passageway in the back of the house that Niddie had once shown him on accident, because they had been studying and she was way past her curfew. This was her secret entrance into the house so that she wouldn't get in trouble. They reached the clearing and Mike gave the signal for everyone to spreadout and do a thorough recon of the place. They had 10 minutes, after that they had to leave as soon as possible and meet back at Mike's place to discuss any and everything they saw. Everyone had their guns drawn and started on the assignment.

Mike walked back around the to the front of the house, Dao and Mak took the side of the house, and Pup entered the back of the house. To Mike's surprise there were already a bunch of people in the front of the house investigating themselves. Mike radioed everyone, "There are bogeys in the house, be extra careful." Everyone radioed in their affirmation. Mike watched the group of five males from the shadows. He took out his digital camera and took pictures of them. All five were about Mike's and his members age. A pretty boy walked out on the front of the house steps. From what Mike could tell, he was shorter than Mike. His hair was shorter than Mike's but just as dark. Mike's observation showed that he was the leader of the group as people kept coming up to him and giving him information. He stood on the steps and turned and looked right at Mike's direction. Mike stiffened and stayed as still as he could. The other pretty boy then turned back around and walked into the house. There was a symbol of an elephant on the back of his white blazer, Mike snapped pictures of the other pretty boy. He heard sirens in the distance, he looked down at his watch 7 minutes had passed. "Guys abort the mission now. Get back to my place. The cops will get here sooner than I thought." He called into the radio and quickly slipped away from the house.

Mike sat down at the steps to his apartment and the four other guys walked up casually to him one by one. This prompted Kenji to step out from the shadows and they all walked up to Mike's apartment. Before they all went in, Mike went in first to check if Niddie was ok. He walked in and she had fallen asleep on his couch, her long hair was clipped away from her face, but cascaded around her body. Mike motioned for everyone to come in quietly, he picked her up like a princess and carried her to his bed, laying her down gently and covering her with the blankets. He watched her for one lingering moment then went back to the guys. Mike opened a secret door, in his walk in closet, that led to a midsized conference room and supply area. Kenji closed the door behind him and they were able to finally speak to each other. "So what did everyone find?" Mike asked rubbing his temples.

Pup loaded his camera's memory stick into a projector. "Nothing much Mike. This was defintely a professional hit. The back part of the house and upstairs were clean. Aside from the masses of dead bodies. Nothing was turned over, not a single thing out of place.", Pup reported.
"So this couldn't have been a robbery? What if they were looking for something more, something of different value?" Mike asked.
This time Mak got up and showed his slides. "Couldn't have been, they wouldn't have killed everyone in the house. If they really wanted something. They wouldn't kill Niddie's parents." Mak was able to take shots of Niddie's parents, lying on the floor, their blood spilling from their bodies. Mike looked at the pictures. Nothing scared him anymore. These pictures were normal to him, he wasn't sure how Niddie was going to take them though. Mike looked at the familiar faces of the handsome man and gorgeous woman, who had given birth to Niddie and who had once been so kind to him. His heart ached.
Dao got up to show his slides. "Did you catch a glimpse of the guys in the house?" Mike asked.
"Yeah. I don't know who they are though. It was weird. It was like secretly watching our group do a recon of something. They were going through the house and they seemed to be looking for something. But I don't think they did the deed. This guy [Dao pointed to one picture of the pretty boy in the white blazer], seemed to be the leader. He went around checking everyone and he had called the cops. He disappeared for a couple minutes, I didn't know where he went."
Mike got up, "I do." He stuck in his memory stick. "He went and stood outside on the steps of the front of the house. I have a feeling he knew there was someone else at the house besides his team. Did you guys notice the symbol on his blazer?" Mike zoomed in and enhanced the elephant symbol on Pretty Boy's jacket.
"Yeah they all had those on their clothing somewhere." Dao pointed out.
"Does that mean anything to anyone?" Mike asked. Everyone shook their head no. "Are there any new gangs that have shown up recently?" Mike asked.
"Not that we know of but I'll definetly check it out." Kenji said.
Mike nodded. "Kenji did anyone show up to the apartment? Especially in an outfit with an elephant symbol anywhere on it?"
"No, no one came. Do you think they're after Niddie?"
"I don't want to rule that out. At least only we six know that she's here and let's keep it that way." Mike looked at his watch, it was 4am. "Alright guys, let's call it a night. Keep your ears open to any new developments. We'll meet here again tomorrow, but don't let Niddie know anything except that fact that her parents are gone, nothing more." They stood up and watched Mike as he stared at the picture of the pretty boy.
"So I guess our leader Mikie has another pretty boy to worry about." Dao joked.
"Shut up Dao!" Mike turned to him and threw a pen at him. They all laughed and then quietly piled out of the secret room.

Before Mike took his bed on the couch, [he wanted to sleep next to Niddie but figured she'd probably kill him when she woke up], he went and took another look at her. From her facial expressions he could tell that she wasn't sleeping well. He brushed her bangs from her face and kissed her forehead. "Goodnight Niddie, I'll protect you. Don't worry. I promise I'll find out what happened to your parents tonight." He confessed to her softly. He then grabbed a pillow and went and sprawled on his couch. It was going to be a restless night for him as well.
