I'll answer as broadly as I can lol. Adding friends and subscribing to stories are pretty self explanatory. It's just with a click of a profile or genre. When I first started, I only read some stories and talked very little to people. But after looking around aff you'll slowly learn how to use it better. Things like blogs, pictures, writing, discussions and more. You'll get use to the way everything is eventually. It took me a while but I never asked for help hehe.
