I love , angst, rich/deep plot. I dislike romantic comedy, most fluff, simplistically written things.

I really hate unrealistic romances, I know that's not a genre but it tends to get into fluff. I also don't really enjoy horror stories, especially in fanfics. I'm a er for romance, but I think often when AFF writers get into angst, psychological, or horror it tends to go to a problematic place.

i am universal in term of reading, i mean i can read any genre, although of coz provided by soft, buttom suho..haha..it is a must. but in term of writing, i can writing anything as well, although my preference is angst, dark romance. i can write fluff as well, but my kind of writing is suitable for dark kind, as well as melancholic type.

I honestly really like thriller/mystery, fantasy and romance stories. Like there’s something new to them more than just cliché arranged marriage or love at first sight etc (not that I don’t like them though). Mystery or crime/action/thriller stories that make me bite my nails are lit :D

p.s. I'm sorry the comment was split but the discussions are still sometimes annoying and the censor is apparently too real on here.

Genres I love to read, however, include fluff, romance (when not done with love triangles, nothing is worse than a love triangle), sci-fi and especially fantasy. There's just something so beautiful about reading what other people manage to create, it's astonishing. I love that. I also read a lot of realism. (Also, some credit should be given to platonic stories because those are great and characters that are either non-cis or characters that are not gay or straight also makes my heart beat in joy!) What I do not like to read is actually angst. Especially stories revolving mental disorders or mental trauma, because I have an interest in these things. That means I often either know more or already have an established idea of how I want things to be written, which makes it soooo hard to see people either glorify it or gloss it over like it's not important. An angst-story has to be really well-written for me to enjoy it because it needs to be accurate, otherwise my own mind will scream "that's wroooong!" I don't know if this is a genre, but medical!AU's also grind my gears because I work in a hospital and have an interest in medicine so I notice when things are wrong and it drives me crazy.

I'm really bad with genres, but I would have to split it into reading and writing.

Genres I love when writing is definitely angst, and also to some extent psychological. Honestly I don't know where the line goes, when does a story become "psychological" as opposed to just angst? Either way, I love writing heavy angst and mental disorders, which is why I normally categorize myself as an angst-writer. Other genres I enjoy writing would be realistic slife-of-life with heavy emphasis on slice-of-life as my plots are usually not very action-packed. Genres I hate writing include sci-fi and to some extent fantasy because of the world-building required. It's just so haaaard. Also action because I'm not very good with a lot of high-quality action.

YESH! When it comes to the ones that I love (in both reading and writing), my top three favorite genres are Comedy, Fantasy, and Friendship, with Fantasy being like that main #1 one that I like to indulge in, or should I say, if somewhere were to ask me what type of writer am I/want to be, I'd say a Fantasy author. Comedy and Friendship are super awesome too though. Aside from those, my other loved reading and writing areas are Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi, and Supernatural.

In terms of ones I dislike or like the least, I guess I'd have to say Romance, yeah. I don't mind it and can enjoy it, but honestly there can be so much, and I much rather prefer platonic bonds/relationships like Friendship and Rivalries more. I don't really like when it's the main focus, or there's so much that it kinda takes away from other things that I may and will find interesting. Um, other than that, I don't really know what else I like least, that's it I feel.
