Will Lay leave EXO?

I’m sorry, but I’m really emo rn. After I heard Lay wasn’t participating in Power, I was disappointed. When his solo came out (while I was very excited) I was also disappointed. When I learned he wouldn’t be particularly impatient in the concert tour I was worried. Will he ever promote with EXO again? Or the real question, will he leave EXO? I know he said very clearly that he wouldn’t leave..but it is possible that he will never promote with them again, but still call himself a member of EXO. It may just be me being paranoid, but I’d be heartbroken if the whole china line is gone

He's very loyal to EXO despite his busy schedules in China, it's just hard for him to work his Chinese activities around his promotions with Exo in Korea. But I'm going to be really honest and say that if he ever does leave EXO, it would never be because of the members or any resentment being in the group. I feel that if he ever has to leave Exo, it wouldn't be a choice he wants to make and for that reason, I'd still support him! Keeping that in mind, eases me about worrying if he's going to leave the group or not because I know in the end he's going to be okay even if he does leave the group, I'm sure that the Exo members will support his departure :) I'll stop talking as if this is actually real, this boy ain't going anywhere, he'll have an epic return to the stage with Exo just like Kai after his injuries :D

He won't. Lay has made sure to mention his love for Exo and the members as often as possible and with each opportunity, just as the other EXO members have. Due to the whole THAAD issues, he was unable to participate in EXO's promotions, even more so since he's as popular as ever in China. However, both countries have started working on their relationship and the tension is slowly melting away.

Oops my comment got sent too early so I deleted it.
https://www.asianfanfics.com/blog/view/1216137 - check this out regarding Lay and a few other Chinese idols not participating with their bands. This doesn't apply to the Chinese members of newer bands as their contracts were made for this situation too, the older idols' contracts weren't. That, plus the newer bands don't really promote in China as such right now so they're good.
The THAAD issue is supposedly resolved now, but it will take time for Korean markets to come back up in China + for Chinese idols to promote once more with their Korean groups.

Other than that, Lay's got some shows and stuff signed up already, so it would go against the contract to pull him out of it for his concert tour. To avoid more controversies, it would be better for him to complete those shows and uphold those contracts before returning to performing with EXO. Regardless, he's still working under SM via his solo albums and the like.

Him promoting with EXO would depend on the political issues between China and Korea + his contracts, so all fans can do is to have faith and wait. Plus I doubt he'd leave EXO while their contract is still on - that goes for any member, really. But yeah, as a fan all one can do is to have faith and wait, I guess.
