@-hyphen- Mines has to do with spelling and remembering what certain objects are

@Oreoyumyum304 I don't like Swedish, I'm forced to learn it but I won't ever use it and I'm so bad at declications (can't spell, but that's how it's pronounced, and 76% of my mistakes are about the declications) and God how much I hate the vocabulary, I'm not bad only in spelling, but the words aren't very logical and the words I need to learn aren't very useful either xD Like how often am I going to use word "angular" for example, or nicknames of cities. I also tend to watch shows in the language I'm studying but I haven't found any good in Swedish (or Swahili...), all Scandinavian ones I like are in Norwegian and it only makes things more difficult since those two languages are very close but not the same.

@-hyphen- Swedish is really fun to learn, some of the words are close to the English counterpart.

@Oreoyumyum304 I'm used to, how could I put this, equal health care. If you don't have money to pay it, the government will pay. And it's not only in case of an emergency (again, can't spell) but also to prevent you getting sick. Of course you have to pay some but it depends on your income, overall wealth and what kind of thing it was. And that's very nice. Here everything is free. All you have to do is to pay taxes.

And for the Swedish, I'm very very very sorry for you. For real, I feel your pain. I have to study Swedish, too, otherwise I can't get to the university. Here you need to study at least 3 languages, otherwise you can't even dream about the uni. Unless you're an immigrant, then they might let it slide. I'm failing my Swedish classes since all I know is grammar but not words xDDD Thank God next year there will be RUSSIAN so yeah I can blame Russian when I don't do well in the Swedish class. Tho Russian isn't even bad, I studied German for two years and argh, I hated it, I had 0 motivation and it's like super difficult Swedish. I took it up only because my mother demanded, she has studied German and my family lived in German in one point (Yeah, in 17th century) so it's important to her.

Personally I find Mandarin 100 times easier than Swedish but nooooo I'm not allowed to study Mandarin. Or Swahili, Swahili is so fun! If I understood correctly, in Swahili instead of "my name is Fred" it's "name mine is Fred" and that makes so much sense and words are so short like there's only one word for "how did you sleep" and I love that there's nothing extra, everything is important. I haven't studied Swahili for long yet (and I do it on my own T.T) but so far it's probably my favourite.

I'm trying to master one language for each continent, Norther America is obviously English, Southern America is Spanish, Africa is Swahili, for Europe I've been thinking Gaeli or Irish, for Asia Mandarin or Korean, I love both, and then there is super big problem. Yes, Australia and Antarctica. In Antarctica there's not much languages, and Australia would be English again. And that's not OK since I used my English in Northern America. Which means I have to change the Northern America English to French and I can't pronounce any French, I have tried very hard but I just can't get that sound out there. It's like Danish, simple when writing or reading but try to talk it, if you can do it you're very gifted. So yeah then there is 7 continents and I would know only 6 languages and one of them is Australian English with my very British accent. Life, failed. Now I'll have to find a new goal, which could be living at least a year in every continent BUT THEN AGAIN the goddamn Antarctica. I'm leaving Finland because it's cold.

A bit off topic sorry.

@-hyphen- I am from the USA :( and you are stereotyping. We have in our laws the right to bare arms, but if you don't have a permit you can get in serious trouble.

Yes, is legal in some states for medical purposes ONLY, most of these legal drugs are medication that people abuse. There are junkies everywhere.

Being able to drive as a teenager is way of gaining independence in my opinion. I am offended that you think our police officers are brutal, they're some of the nicest people I have ever met, most of the police stuff you hear is some of the major stuff that people take out of proportion.

I would walk or bike everywhere I go if I could, but everything is so far away and riding bicycles terrifies me with the way people drive.

I am trying to learn Swedish, I love to learn new languages, but I have hard time.

Our health care is some of the best (that is till Obama came up with Obama care :/).

In my neighborhood is really small.

Yes, the USA is known for being a bad country, but that could be any country.

@Oreoyumyum304 I just bate it since my grandparents let my mother do whatever she wanted to. She lets all my siblings do their things but not me like what bad did I do?

And that boyfriend thing is kinda tricky since I really really like this one guy but because of my mother he doesn't want to date me and I just hate it because I really miss him but I can't invite him to my place if someone is home because they'd tell my mom and then she'd kill me like for real THAT GUY IS PERFECT. I could move to the USA for him (he really likes the USA, I kinda hate that country, it represents everything I hate: money is power, big companies like McDonald's kill so many people and kids are addicted to sugar and video games and they don't study languages (I want to have bilingual kids who go to school in, I don't know, Spanish or German) and everyone has a gun and teenagers are allowed to drive and some drugs are legal and the police is aggressive and you need car to go to places, you can't cycle AND I LOVE CYCLING and aggressive soccer moms (ok there's soccer moms everywhere) and don't let me even start with the health care and I'd have to drive my kids to the school but 1) I hate cars 2) my kids need to exercise so yeah I'd be a bad mom and then everyone would judge me and I don't want to live in a house that is exactly like 200 others in the neighborhood and food there is crap like WHO INVENTED STRAWBERRY MILK, (not the kpop group, I love Way and ChoA) WHO???)

And no, I mean hat. I use hat when I want to say the f-word. In my native language those two words rhyme nicely.

@-hyphen- No offense, but you probably could not afford to be a stay-at-home mom this day in age, everything cost way too much. If you want to go to university you should go and follow your dreams, not your mother's. I honestly hate when parents try to plan your future for you, but I think it is because they did not get the future they planned for so they try to control their children's and when things do not go the way they plan, they get frustrated. I can be an example of that, I wanted to be an artist, but my mom wants me to be a pharmacist. :/

I am not allowed to have a boyfriend either, and I do not even want one as of right now. I think it's a normal thing.

I am only barely fluent in one other language besides English.

Do you men 'Hot mom'?

@Oreoyumyum304 My mom wants me to become a stay-at-home mother, but still she wants me to become a chef and to be fluent in 5 languages??? My mom is weird because she also doesn't want me to have a boyfriend

My grades weren't that bad either. Its just as long as its not straight A+ and 4.00, and there are peeps who ranked above me then they'll never satisfied. I would rather live like you honestly, the pressure and expectations could kill you more when its voiced out to your face. Its a bit discouraging to me. Idk about you though.

@-hyphen- My mom gets frustrated at my sister for getting C's (This is barely even passing), she does not even attempt to encourage me because apparently she expects that I'll get A's all the time. My mom will not let me get a job because she is more concerned that I get into a good college and that I get scholarships.
Oreoyumyum304

@Avelyn_luvies I wish my parents do that for me, they just expect that I do well since I hardly ever get bad grades. Maybe they're encouraging in the wrong way.

When I survived very difficult class and got third worst grade (there's total 7 grades, scale 4-10 and I got 6) my mom keeps talking about it for MONTHS! I once got 5, made the test again and got 6 and she still keeps picking on me! My teacher said that for me it's difficult to get better in geometry since I draw the picture all wrong every time so it will be 6 unless I suddenly get very good skills of spatial perception. Like yeah I'd love getting good grades at geometry but I can't help it.

Also I hate it how my mom says I should get at least 9 in all my classes because she got 8, in almost 8 in total, and I have more and more difficult classes than what she had like 30 years ago... For example if you want to get the best grade in Swedish exam you have to memorize around 1 000 new words per course. That makes 24 words a day and I have many other courses as well ARGH YOU GO TO HIGH SCHOOL SINCE IT'S SO EASY! I have million other things to do as well and she also wants me to have A JOB like um mom I spend 26 hours 15 minutes at school every week and then I also do homework and essays and try to exercise and play guitar and meet my friends and read books why are you like that??? Why???

She also doesn't want me to go to the university so WHY DOES SHE CARE sorry for all this I just really hate that.
