Female character types

What are some female character types you want to see in fanfics/literature/movies...media in general?
(Please don't just say 'strong', be specific!)
Personally, I've always wanted to see a 'girly' character, interested in pretty clothes and makeup and such, not be vilified?
And maybe she could even be 'strong' - not necessarily physical but she could be mentally tough.
Also, maybe a strong female character who just doesn't only get along with boys, one who isn't a tomboy, who doesn't scorn (that doesn't mean she like, though!) feminine things, one who can't necessarily fight.
And maybe a really amazing female character could not end up in a romantic relationship?
I'm just so tired of the "I'm/ You're not like the other girls" thing.

I'd like to see more relatable and realistic female characters, ya know, those who have normal people problems and don't have exaggerated traits (like I'm tired of seeing the stereotyped girly and nerdy female characters; heck, real-life women can be girly and nerdy at the same time). I also want to see more independent and strong women, because most of the time in romance flicks/fics, the girl character usually acts like the guy is the whole world to her. Girls have dreams and aspirations in life too. Irl, they don't put "to look for my Mr. Right" as their sole life goal.

ual girls. Girls that know what they want and aren't afraid to get it. Girls who have one night stands. Girls who dress in high heels and short skirts/dresses and who doesn't care that other people see them as ty because they are not - they just have a ual desire like everybody else. Confident girls who know who they are. I'm just a little sick of the "innocent" girl.

Hurmmm... I really interested to read a female character so tsundere and twisted that it can haunt my dream. Like Yuno Gasai in Mirai Nikki (God have mercy on her)

Really cute, funny and has a little crazy side (not angsty type... Likes to bring out dark sides of other people... Maybe little psycho but warm person)

I definitely agree with the romantic relationship part, for female and male characters, because a love interest does not always need to be needed, and I feel like sometimes when people build up this ideas, it's like including a love interest has become a stable part for anything over the years. Or even just an opposite character that the main one gets close to and it just kinda screams that almost. For me, I don't mind tomboys or masculine female characters, I actually really like them, but I think you do have a few points about those types where just being a tomboy or something alike doesn't mean you just have to hang out with guys and stuff. But, everybody can be different in the way they see those things (I'm a tomboy myself and I don't like the color pink or "girly" things, so, yeah lol). I think I would like to see a female character that doesn't always overreact with so much drama and assuming things, or like always fighting back or say starting arguments and loosing their cool and stuff (I'm not sure how to properly say this). I would want to see a more observant type of character who does speak up but no need to raise their voice so much, also someone who actually thinks about things before jumping to conclusions for no reason. For example, those situations where girl A like boy A and they get close, and say mean girl A sets up a kiss trap for her to see and she gets all upset for no reason when they weren't even together, and even worse when they are together and automatically assumes he's cheating and only comes to terms with the truth through their best friend when the guy was saying the exact same thing. I really hate that.

I enjoy seeing female characters that puts the word "female" out of the general box because females, of course, are not all the same. A lot of authors (in the past) made their female characters physically and mentally weak in order to uplift male superiority. Now many have this stereotype of females which I want broken, but in a favorable way. The female doesn't have to be a tomboy, she doesn't have to hate pink, she doesn't have to hate boys. What I like in a female character is when she can do things for herself, when she can stick up for herself, and that instead of needing help, she can offer help. For me, personally, I like a female character that I will remember for the rest of my life because of the lessons she taught me or her uniqueness that was so intriguing. :)

@--Skye-- Yes! definitely! I was thinking more along the lines of evolving common characters in fanfics in my answer? But I totally agree. Thanks for your answer! :))

more butch girls... i like feminine girls and tomboys but theres very little butch girls out there. as a bi girl i really love girls with muscles loool. i also generally want more girl-focused media that isnt based around (hetero) love. more superhero women too!!!! i like female characters that little girls can look up to. female characters that dont exist solely as a love interest. female characters that dont reach society's awfully high standards of beauty. lbgt female characters. we as women deserve much more human characters than we usually get tbh.

I agree with you on the "girly" character not vilified. Like yes, be feminine and beautiful and strong because that's a-ok. Honestly, I also would love to see black girls as the love interest in like the mushy mushy classic love story. I don't want a lot of movies (or read a lot of books, wow, I ) but from my experience black girls as love interests aren't very common. More of that. More of femininity where it's cool and accepted and not makes the female character "the blonde bimbo". I also really love girls who are ual. Like bring me some girls who know they're y, who knows what they want and what they can get and who aren't afraid of one night stands or whatever. I'm so sick of the "innocent" girl, go out, have fun, get drunk, have . Wear high heels and short ty dresses and rock it. I really need that. And then I personally have the hots for smart girls so every girl who are just on top in her scientific field is just really nice - especially if it's paired with also classic feminine things. Wear your hair long or whatever and rock your job but also just be A+ girly girl. God, I love girly girls. Girly girls on top tbh. (Most important thing is that all these girls are confident and doesn't need a man. Like they're just so rooted in themselves and who they are, that they're the main characters without being "different" or have masculine traits or something. No, she's not a fighter but yes, she's awesome. Kind of like that...)
