Mental hospitals are very misunderstood places. There is a certain stigma not only attached to being a patient in a mental hospital, but to the whole field of mental health to begin with. The people I met during my stay at Holly Hill were not crazy. They were not nuts. They just needed a little extra help and a safe, relaxing place to recupe

This was her getaway when life became a burden. She came here whenever the useless voices nagged at her. They told her to get her life together. She tried, but it was frustrating when the pieces were scattered.  This was a place to get away when the strident voices told him to change, to act the way he was supposed to.
