Buying albums OTL

For the last few years, my family and friends have asked me "What would you like for Christmas/your birthday?" and I always answer "Well, this new JYJ/Jaejoong/Junsu/TVXQ album just came out." And for the most part, my sister and lovely Megan have pulled through to get the album for me. When my mother asked me a few weeks ago, I made the same response. "Well, JYJ came out with a new album, it's called Just Us."

But she just cut me off right there!

"Now that you have a credit card, you can buy it yourself."

It baffles me. It's not my money on the card, it's my parents'. Yet it's perfectly okay to spend it on albums? I guess, okay, she's trusting me to spend money wisely. But seriously, that means it is no longer an option as a present? It is literally the only thing I ever ask for.

So I thought to myself, ya know what, I will buy music for myself.  There were a lot of other things I considered. Oh, maybe I should buy this Epik High album, no, my sister hates rap, how about this B2ST album, nah, there aren't that many songs. Super Junior? I'll wait for the repackage. Do I want to spend $100 on the new JYJ DVD? Not really. So I spent $55 on the VIXX Error album and the BTS Dark&Wild album. Both for some reason okay while Epik High and Beast were not.

I didn't even buy the JYJ album, hahaha.

But now I am going down this slippery slope. Every time an album comes out that I want, I might as well buy it.
