Chinese movie 'Heirs Who Came From The Stars' aside, it looks like America will likewise be picking up Korean drama 'You Who Came From The Stars' as inspiration for a new television series!

According to the Hollywood ReporterABC has put out a script commitment with a penalty to remaking this drama, which has received global attention and love.  The format will be similar with a supernatural love story following a pop star named Lark and her neighbor, James, who is the alien in this case.  Just like Kim Soo Hyun, James tries to distance himself from humans despite the world-saving capability of his superpowers--that is, until he gets a vision that Lark will be put in a perilous and life-threatening position!  Following the drama's storyline, the two fall in love as he is given the chance to return to his planet.

The ABC story will be written and produced by Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain of hit series such as 'The Vampire Diaries' while the original writer, Park Ji Eun, and HB Entertainment's Moon Bo Mi will likewise be executive producers.

In addition, this will not be the only Korean drama expecting an American remake!  CBS will be creating a medical drama based on 'Good Doctor' while NBC is preparing a program based on 'Grandpas Over Flowers.'  It looks like the Hallyu wave is extending vastly and influencing the American TV market.

(A/N: I think they might kill it, like they did with the american version of Boys Before Flower)

I think it should be fine since the original writer will be executive producers and the writers are the same as The Vampire Diaries (which is amazing omg). TBH Boys Before Friends (the English remake of Hana Yori Dango) major, but the producers/writers were virtually unknown and didn't really have any experience.
So hopefully, this'll be good. I'll keep my judgements aside until the first episode shows, though haha.
