[MISC] Moderators v. Helpers - The Differences!

Good day, all! Recently, we've had an influx of users reporting different problems to us that we do not have the authority to solve - because the Moderators do, and it is done through that handy dandy Report Content button on all blog posts and stories! We're always more than happy to relay a message to the other staff members, as they have requested their anonymity due to past events. However, I just wanted to clarify what each separate staff can and will do for users.

AFFHELPER

+ offer solutions and fixes to technical problems and issues on the site
+ record suggestions for features and other site-related content
+ submit a report to the administrator concerning different technical issues on the site
+ answer various questions about the site in general, including guides on how to use the layout, features, other content, etc.
+ make blog posts in regards to issue fixes, changes in layout, announcements, suggestions, etc.
+ per Moderator request, issue warnings to users in danger of violating the Terms of Use on the site

MODERATORS

+ ban users who have violated the Terms of Use for the site
+ mark stories as Rated M or Trigger Warning, depending on the content
+ answer and solve various user reports via the Report System
+ ban content that has violated the Terms of Use for the site
+ issue warnings to users in danger of violating the Terms of User on the site, via the AFF Helpers

NOTE: NEITHER THE HELPERS NOR THE MODERATORS HAVE ACCESS TO USER LOGIN INFORMATION (E.G. PASSWORDS OR RECOVERY EMAIL).

A friendly reminder that if you do know a moderator on here, whether on their personal account or otherwise, please do not message them about a situation! There is a reason they have requested anonymity, and besides the Report Content button is quite useful to use in many situations. It's the fastest (and sometimes the only) way for them to know there is a problem with any content on the site. If it involves a user conflict, please message us in regards to this after blocking the individual and seeing that they continue to harass across accounts. We would rather you report situations via an official channel than through a personal user; there are some who might take advantage and masquerade as a moderator for ulterior purposes, and we don't want the situation to spin out of control any more than you do! =]

Thanks for the info; I already kinda knew most of this, but it's good to have it all spelled out. I just wanted to ask about a situation I encountered awhile back - a user had improper material on her actual profile. Is there a report content for that? Or do we just go through you guys? Thanks for the help and keep up the good work! :D
