Kpop ~ Respect (Rant)

I just had to rant about this. I just can't take this. I just have to write it down.

But can't just people have some respect for what they like?

Here's what's going on. My brother hates what I like. That's K-Pop.

Just now, he began to bad mouth about them. I can't take it. I mean, I respect him for what he likes. He likes gaming, Minecraft, online games, etc.

Never once, did I bad mouth or talk trash about his likes, so why should he?!

I know I can be a bit annoying sometimes. I know how obsessed I am. But it's still to an extent. I still keep my grades up. Not trying to arrogant or anything, but I do get good grades. That's my responsibility.

Honestly, knowing K-Pop is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I was seriously sad and depressed at times (not depression, yet) and it's K-Pop that helped me pulled through. They make me laugh and smile.

I can declare my love for the groups that I love. Not that I can marry my bias or anything like that. But I love (group names).

He says it's unhealthy for me, the groups. He says that because of them, I changed.

Of course I changed. But I didn't do anything bad. I actually started to talk to more people, talk to people that are interested in K-Pop, fanfiction, etc. I started to write fanfics because I started to ship couples and pairings to share the feels!

Nope, I'll never be normal again. For sure.

Can't he have some respect for what I like?

I do respect him for what he likes!

I really need some advice or feedback on this.

You don't have to but I want to say, thank you for actually taking your time to read this.

Thank you. :)

That's the pain of dealing with siblings I'm afraid ^^; My brother makes a few comments like how he thought Youngjae looks 'girly' sometimes, but other than that me and my siblings are respectful of each other's likes and dislikes. Your brother is just trying to get you riled up: This might sound mean or make the situation worse, but maybe you should crack a few jokes about what he likes so he sees how it feels to be insulted. Usually it does do the trick but don't go too far with it or else it will backfire on you...been there and done that ^^;

Either way respect should go both ways.

It's funny in a way how some people like your brother demand respect, yet don't give it to others in return.
