On Friday the 13th, MBLAQ was supposed to perform in Lima, Peru, for those of you who don't know, I'm peruvian. I was very excited about this concert, it was the first time they would come to my country and I was really happy. Unfortunately, due to money and university I wouldn't be able to go to the concert, even more so, because I live in a whole different city and going there would have been too expensive for me at this time. Either way, I was really excited about having them in my country, and I felt I could see them through fancams or a stream.

Now, everything was fine until Friday itself. The concert was supposed to happen as it was scheduled and the hype for it was great. After seeing the other performances in Brazil, Mexico and Chile through fancams, Peruvian A+ were more than excited to see them live finally. The show was cancelled HOURS before it was set to begin, due to lack of permits for the show. They didn't get permissions to use the venue, and even after they got the permission to use it, they still didn't have clearance for the concert because they hadn't got security permissions (making sure the venue was safe for such a large amount of people, security for the show, etc). The promoters kept the fans waiting for around 6+ hours outside the venue in the cold (it's almost winter here) until MIDNIGHT, going back and forth between "the show is cancelled" and "the show is still on". At 9pm they got permission to use the venue (still no security permits) and the fans were told to go inside the venue, at 10:40pm the show was cancelled and fans were pushed out of the venue by the police, some even say they used gas to get them out. At 11:30pm the show was definitely cancelled. G.O, Thunder and Joon left Peru at around 1am today (saturday) while Seungho and Mir stayed to "save face" for the band and for a press conference.

This is where I get pissed. MBLAQ and JTUNE did everything they could to make the concert happen. They were at the venue since 4pm and stayed there until the last minute. It was the local promoter's who did wrong. I'm not blaming MBLAQ or JTUNE for this, because it wan't their fault. G.O's and Mir's tweets are proof enough that these boys wanted to perform here, the fancams at the airport show how happy and excited they were to be here.

The company that brought them here had months to prepare for this concert, they've been announcing it since November of last year, how could they not get all the paperwork done? They needed SEVEN DAYS before the concert to get the necessary permits, and yet they tried to do it THREE DAYS before. There should have been at least an explanation of the situation before bringing the boys here FOR NOTHING. Not only did they disappoint the fans, they disappointed MBLAQ, made us look bad as a country, and they had to leave with a bad impression of Peru.

This doesn't only affect MBLAQ and A+. This incident is gonna go back all the way to Korea, it will go around companies, and seeing this DISGRACEFUL event, they won't want to bring their artists here, because it will look like Peru can't hold a concert (which we have, for many different international artists, and all without a problem of paperwork or legalities). The concert + fanmeeting for SS501 depended on the success of MBLAQ's concert to happen, and now with this, it most probably won't happen (especially because the promoters that brought MBLAQ are the same bringing SS501).

I cannot explain how furious and disappointed I am. I had planned to finally update my fic this week after such a long absense, but with this situation, at the moment, I can't even watch an MBLAQ video, nor have the desire to write. I'll cool off in a bit, it won't take me that long. I'm just pissed right now, and need to vent.
