Ranting: Teacher edition

Okay, you guys don’t have to reply to this at all, but I’m just angry ranting again.

Do you wanna know what’s absolutely frustrating?

Being the student that is known to do absolutely everything and beyond.

Being the student that does her homework better than what is asked for.

Being the student that gives a damn about the class

And having a teacher that thinks you’re an idiot and yells at you for not doing it right away.

Like, no. I’m going to do it.

But the fact to have a teacher yell at me for not doing it right away is extremely insulting.

Let me tell you this. I have spent the last 3 years at the school, and most people trust me. People know I do stuff for the school. I created the banners, I created the murals, I created the posters, I’m captain in speech (Weird, but I keep everyone on the team calm), I’m head of marketing for student council, I create the t-shirt designs, I keep students calm in class, I volunteer outside of school, I do a lot of things!

I have literally asked a teacher for a knife and she didn’t even question it. She just gave me this confused look and said, “I don’t have one.”

People trust me at the school. I have gone to a freaking grant meeting with my principal in order to help get a grant for the school once. I’m part of the school’s illegitimate student “tech” team (But as a graphic designer).

The people I hang out with are kids that also do stuff for the school.

But to have a teacher yell at me and say, “I HAVE ASKED YOU THREE TIMES TO DO YOUR WORK, DO IT.”

And do you know what kind of work that was? It was a last minute, “Holy ****, half of my students are gone because they’re donating blood! I can’t teach a class! BUSYWORK!” kind of work.

Earlier in the hour, the teacher is like “It’s a study hall since not a lot of people are here.”

So my friend and I did a psychology quiz to find out what type of person I was. I was reading a seven page “This is what you are” of what I am, and I was very interested in it. And you know me, when I’m reading something, I’m just in the zone. And once I’m done reading, it takes me a while to reconnect to real life.

And that was when she yelled at me.

You know, I understand if it’s a student that rarely does her work gets yelled at. But for someone that does her crap all the time, I expected at least some trust to be given. I know, it sounds awful, a student expecting trust. But I have a lot of teachers trust me in which I have so much respect for. I have the most feared teacher trust me, because I go through her desk without telling her, and she knows that I won’t do anything stupid. I’m the favorite of another teacher who looks like he’s going to murder people all the time.

I’m just that kid that gives off the “I trust you” vibe.

And you know what she did after she yelled at me? She started talking to another student about weddings and stuff and about her divorce for 30 minutes straight. I know this, because I was staring at the time, waiting for the class to be over.

I hate that teacher.

Everyone hates that teacher.

Her minion (Whom I have grown to like ever since he complained about that teacher) hates her. The vice principal doesn’t like her because she doesn’t know photoshop (She’s the graphics teacher for some reason, because she seriously called photoshop powerpoint for 6 months, AND she actually thinks that she can graphic design. You don’t understand, I could use photoshop better than her when I was 13). I’m just tired of this.

She has favorites also. Oh yes, she can have hour long conversations to her favorites all day and there are times she doesn’t even teach the class.

There’s this one girl who’s in the class that doesn’t even do the projects. She works on yearbook. She’s apparently the only one in “advance graphic design” (I’m going to be honest here, I’ve seen the work in the classroom. There is nothing advanced in that class. It should be, “This is a joke” design)

I’ve taken her class for 3 months so far this year, and so far, I’ve learned nothing.

So do you see my frustration?

I’m going to university for graphic design, AND I VIRTUALLY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT GRAPHIC DESIGN.

I DEPEND ON “HOW TO’S” ON THE INTERNET, AND OCCASIONALLY ASIAN FANFICS.

TEACHERS ARE TO TEACH. IT’S NOT JUST A  JOB.

...please complain about that teacher to the teachers who actually has powers in that school or your homeroom teacher, so that they'll help you
I'm not asking you to be a tattle-tale, but you do know that you need that lesson
You need a teacher for that subject, this will affect literally everything :c

I feel you! I've experienced that too before and it was so damn frustrating 'cause I had to endure it for a year! So I never gave my respect to her, EVER!
Anyway, I think you should ignore her, people like her doesn't worth your time, and who cares about what she thinks anyway? Don't let small things get to you :)

Your right. That's shi t and I think you should complain to the principal and ask to have a new teacher. It's not good that you're going to take graphics design for university but you're not learning anything. That is really unfair! I feel your frustration so much. You should really because that teacher is shi t and you're not going to learn anything from her at all. I suggest you voice out your opinion to the principal bexfore I kill that teacher

Omg first of all you sound like the perfect person lol I need to be more like you XD
Second of all yeah I freaking hate teachers like that *cough all of my teachers cough* so I suggest just don't even listen to her if she's of no use to you and focus on what you need to do and your graphic design.

Especially the ending
If a teacher can't teach then why do they have the job!?

Being the good kid and getting yelled at
Heck last year my teacher called me out because he thought I was cheating Twice!! And I'm the good kid who does everything
