When I thought you would never leave, I'm left with a dead soul...

"Luhan hyung!" a familiar voice echos throughout the dorm. I smiled upon hearing the voice, knowing that EXO-K had come home from their schedule. "Come here and have dinner!" Xiumin shoutued from where EXO-M were; the living room.

Yeah, we usually eat randomly; partically anywhere, but since we moved to our new dorm, things had become easier. We could live together under one roof now and each room had become bigger for at least 2 growing boys in each. Sometimes we would eat at the kitchen, but never for dinner. It was always either at the balcony or in front of the television if any of the members weren't present yet.

The K members smiled as they went to change briefly- meaning they would take a bath later on. Sehun was the first one to approach as he sat beside me. "What's for dinner? Who cooked?" Was all he asked as he drooled on the sight of food. Oh, did I mentioned he looked cute like that?

"Kimchi stew, kimchi fried rice and other kimchi related with freshly made mango juice. Sincerely by, Xiumin and Lay." I replied with a smile. He smiled back and thanked his hyungs for a meal and he took a bowl of rice that I prepared when he was changing and gave me a quick thanks before devouring the delicious food. The others came and soon enough, the living room was filled with 6 hungry boys and 6 chatting-while-eating boys. Well, we can't really blame them for having a hectic day today...

That's our life cycle. When one half is busy, the other one would prepare dinner and take care of the dorm. Same goes for otherwise. We also had made a schedule for everyone.

For K, Suho and Kyungsoo would be the ones in charge of cooking. The maknaes, Kai and Sehun would be cleaning the dorm and as for the troublemakers, Baekhyun and Chanyeol, they would create the noisy atmosphere while helping anyone in need. Mostly the maknaes.

For M, Xiumin and Lay are the ones that cooks. Me and Chen would clean up the dorm while practising our vocals; or just trying to make the dorm noisy. As for the father and son, almighty Kris and panda Tao would seen lazying around. That's when Xiumin pops in and tells them to at least make either me or Chen shut our high note battle up or help us finish the chores faster so he could be in peace. Even so, our infamous troublemaker of M, Mr. Kim Chen Jongdae would always tease his favourite hyung with his high note, and eventually asked for another battle for his lost in Weekly Idol last 2 years.

Yes, we have debuted for 4 years now. And we're still in sync.

"Lu-ge." That voice interrupted my thoughts. I looked at Xiumin with my confused look. "Are you really sure about this?" He asked, his concern expression growing. I smiled and nodded as an instant reply. You guessed it right. Me and Xiumin, the eldest in EXO had kept a secret from the others when we promised not to.

Me and Xiumin got a two weeks off for Xiumin's operation the day after tomorrow. Yes, he was having brain cancer stage two.

And, since it was still on the safe zone, he would recover after the operation. The others didn't know about this, and I won't too if I didn't eavesdrop when he was talking to his doctor a few weeks ago in the phone. The moment he hung up, I barged into the room with tears falling down my cheeks. He asked me what was wrong, and I just had to mutter the word 'cancer' that had him locking the door behind me before making me promise not to tell anyone. And I did, until now.

A few hours ago, he told me that it was fine to tell EXO now, regarding the fact that he's going to be fine in a few days. But, he was still worried of our schedules since two weeks of no activities only for me and Xiumin felt like two months for him. He was scared to be bashed like before, when he was insulted as fat before our Wolf era, and he doesn't want that to happen again. But, as a best friend, I assured him that everything's gonna be alright.

I looked at him, asking for his signal. "You can tell them now, Lu-ge." He smiled weakly. I knew, he was ready now for any outbursts from the others.

I took a deep breath. "Guys..." I called out, enough for them to hear me. "What's wrong, hyung?" Sehun, being the forever curious boy, asked me. I held back a chuckle seeing that look. I gave a glance towards Xiumin, silently telling him to explain by himself. "Xiumin has something to say." He let out a sigh like he predicted that this would happen.

Now, all attention were on our eldest hyung.

He took a deep long breath, gathering his courage before finally letting out what he had to say.

"I have a brain cancer stage two."

Nothing was heard as it was actually expected from us. And, we really did expect someone to go to our beloved hyung to knock some sense into him. "Jinjjia...?" A low mutter was heard. Xiumin hesitantly nodded as he out down his empty bowl. Just then, Chen stood up, walking towards Xiumin and kneeled infront of him. The only thing he did was the knock from his fist on the latter's forehead.

"Pabo," He paused. "And you told us now? What, don't you believe in us?" He asked, raising his voice a little. No one, I repeat, no one ever made Chen raise his voice, so it was a bit tense now. Xiumin lowered his gaze. "Mianhae, I didn't-"

"PABO!" With that, a crying Chen hugged Xiumin until he was topping the elder on the floor. "Don't you know how worried I was?! You have a brain cancer, stage two! Wake up hyung, you should tell us earlier!!!" He muffled his cries into Xiumin's chest and he sobbed a little too loud. The others came forward, including me, to comfort Chen as we pulled them into sitting positions. Chen was still crying, and Xiumin was giving his usual calm smile- a smile that could fool anyone to think he's perfectly fine.

"His operation is the day after tomorrow. I'll be accompanying him at the hospital starting tomorrow." I explained his stay and the others just nodded. Guess they won't ask how I knew as they thought my way of knowing was even more shocking.

Heck it was.

Remember when I said everything's gonna be alright? Hell no, I lied.

Xiumin's operation failed as the said cancer grew unexpectedly to stage 3, already in a danger zone where stage 4 could be possible. But, the doctor put the chemotherapy on, just in time for the cancer to stop growing. And, when I thought the news of Xiumin's worsened condition wasn't enough, the call of EXO's accident just 10 mintues after I told them about Xiumin was given.

And I had no one to cry on about these.

As the ambulance came to the hospital, I quickly went to the emergency area, abandoning Xiumin for my younger brothers, including Kris. All of them seemed fine with some minor injuries, except for Kris and Kai who had bandages around their arm or leg and Chen being unconcious about Xiumin and Suho crying for god-knows-what. But the certain someone I was searching for wasn't present.

"Where's Sehunnie?"

Suho calmed down a bit as he pointed to the emergency room. No, it can't be right?

I thought, but realization hit me when two of my bestest friends, EXO's eldest and youngest were in dangerous conditions.

The last thing I heard was my name before being unconcious.

April 12, 2017

We were promoting our new comeback for the year 2017. As whole, like always. Somehow the company loves to see us together rather than seperated.

But, I can't- no, I won't go to any activities other than stages since I want to take care of Sehun.

Xiumin? He's perfectly fine now, he's cancer free, thanks to the miracle God gave.

Sehun? He was in a coma for a month, but woke up. I still remember...

I was telling stories to Sehun as usual, even though he's not really hearing. I still hope God could give a miracle, like He did to Xiumin. The doctor said that he can't help Sehun anymore, either he dies with memories or wakes up miracly without one. I chose the second option, and was given with that.

Words can't describe when I finally could feel Sehun's hands moving. I remembered calling the others and doctor as well.

I waited for him to call me out when he opens his eyes up. But, the only words I heard was three words. Three words that I will remember until the day I die.

"W-who are y-y-you...?"

I was dazed. Xiumin came in just in time to catch me from falling down before falling unconcious again.

I was awaken from my thoughts when I looked at the clock. "Time for Sehun's lunch." I muttered to myself as I began to make Sehun's lunch.

It has been two years since Sehun woke up, yet he's still the same. I asked the doctor about his condition a few days ago, but his words strucked both me and EXO.

"I'm sorry to say, but Mr. Oh's memories won't come back as half of his brain is dead. We could have a brain transplant, but he have to start his life all over again. And it's a risky one. So, probably, he won't remember anything that happens throughout his life and his condition would remain the same. Again, I'm so sorry."

Half dead brain. It's like Xiumin, brain cancer. Did God cured our eldest's cancer just to make our youngest's brain half dead?

I finished Sehun's meal and went to him who was sitting at our balcony. He won't talk. Heck, he can't. He doesn't know how. Still, I- We shared our memories together as EXO to him all over again for a few times already, still hoping for a miracle to happen. But, no results, but we won't stop.

"Hey, Sehunnie." I greeted him with a smile without any reponse. Since he's completely unable now, we have to do the things for him. I started feeding him as I continued the last memory.

"Do you remember, on April 16 2014, we went to buy each other the bubble teas we love? Your favourite is chocolate flavoured while mine is taro. And the date is approaching, I'll buy one for you, okay?" I shed a tear that fell. From morning to afternoon, I would be in charge to take care of Sehun, when the other 10 would take care of both him and me starting 5 pm. Everytime we feed him, shower him or even just look at him, we would shed a tear. Why? Easy.

It's like we're looking at the real Sehun but his soul isn't with us. Only his body. A soulless body.

"Oh Sehun," I paused, my eyes getting teary once again. "when I thought you would never leave, I'm left with a dead soul..." With that, I put aside his plate of food and cried on his lap, not realizing a hand was brushing my hair ever so softly and gently that made me sleep.

Luhan was soundly sleeping on Sehun's lap, and for a second, Sehun's eyes showed life.

"L-l-lu-luhan h-hyu-hyung..." He muttered, only to fall into an eternal sleep afterwards.

How Luhan was unfortunate to hear those two words before his beloved maknae left the world for eternity. And, how fortunate Luhan was too for Xiumin who forgot to turn off the recorder he put on when he was talking to Sehun at the balcony before going to the company.

Eventually, the said recorder recorded what Sehun managed to say after two years of dead mind before his soul follows to heaven.
