Personality:

SooYee is very much Spontaneous and bold. She doesn't really mind where she is or who is around her--she is going to act like herself. If she wants to have fun, she will. She is very much energetic and exciting. She'll jump ontop of a table and dance to her favorite song, hula hoop in public, do some handstands and walk around on her hands, or run around with a baby doll in her hands shouting, "Are you my baby daddy? I need to find my baby daddy!" She isn't afraid to enjoy life--even if that means that she will be looked upon as being weird or crazy. She only has one life to live, so why not make it fun and exciting while she is alive. She isn't afraid to say what is on her mind, nor is she afraid to tell you how she feels. She isn't trying to be mean--she's far from it, but she just feels that she has to say what is on her mind at the moment. Her friends note that they'd never be able to do half of the stuff she does because they are somewhat insecure, but SooYee most definitely isn't. It's not like she is conceited or anything--it's just that she feels as though if someone likes her, they do, if they don't, they don't. Plain and simple. She doesn't mind what others have to say about her because they do not validate the type of person that she is.

SooYee is definitely a choco-holic, and she admits that. She always (and I mean always) has to have chocolates in the morning or in order for her to function. Chocolates, to her, is like her alcohol and without it, she is a wreck. She knows basically all the chocolates there is out there and can spot a piece of chocolate a mile away. She carries a secret stash of chocolates around with her. She doesn't hesitate to share anything with her friends BUT her chocolates. She immediately gets on the defense if someone asks her for her chocolates. She'll immediately hold the chocolates to her chest in a defensive manner, then she'll yell, "No, uh uh, no way! Not MY chocolates. You can have anything else--my money is in my room on the dresser, my jewelry you can have...take my shoes, but NOT my chocolates!" Then she'll run to the nearest room, lock herself in, and then eat her chocolates in peace. She won't come out until it is clear. For this, her friends pick on her and ask for her chocolates whenever they want a reaction out of her. She knows this, but at the same time, she cannot help but run wildly until she is sure that she has her chocolates to herself.

SooYee is very dramatic and funny. She is a prankster at heart and always has the need to prank her friends and even strangers. She believes that her pranks are very small and shouldn't cause a lot of fuss, but for some reason people get upset with her when she does them. It doesn't matter, though. She just likes to get a reaction out of her friends (since she is mainly the subject of her friends' pranks as well). She also has a bad habit of pranking her parents and some authority figures as well. Even her old high school teachers and principal weren't safe from her pranking. She loves to laugh and play around and because of this, her friends dubbed her as "Laughs Like Hyena" because of her husky yet addictive laugh. She doesn't mind though. Her laugh causes others to laugh as well. Also, being the dramatic one that she is, SooYee is sometimes just a little extra. Most people would just trip and fall - plain and simple. They'd get up and get over it. But not SooYee. Nope. If she falls, she twists her body in a strange way, grips her hair, and rolls constantly to shield her hair from connecting with the ground. By doing this, she causes unnecessary attention. But, her friends get a good laugh from her. Her friends joke, "Gosh, SooYee, we can't take you anywhere!" but they are never embarrassed by her because she just brings about a fun spirited vibe. There is never a dull moment when around SooYee. She is just always having fun and pulls others into her creativeness.

She definitely has flaws when it comes to her because no one is perfect. She is somewhat stubborn and hates admiting defeat because when she is wrong, she still has a hard time apologizing because she doesn't want to give anyone the satisfaction that they want. She is cranky when she wakes up and have a tendency to walk around the dorm and give people evil glares until she gets past her "sleepiness". She is very sarcastic and mimics others when they are talking because if she doesn't want to listen to it, then she won't. Plain and simple. She is somewhat hard-headed and has to be told more than once to stop doing something (only to do it again). She also doesn't really like to be touched by people that she doesn't know or like and she definitely has a really bad temper. However, she tries not to stray that way. She tries to remain positive and friendly, but everyone has a rough side to them.

Overall, SooYee is a very loud, crazy, wild, Chocolate loving, pranking, laughing, funny, creative wild child and she loves it.

 

 

Background History:

SooYee actually was raised in a very positive and nurturing household. Although her parents were of two very different cultures (her father is Hispanic traveling to Korea one year on business - and her mother is Korean) they instantly fell in love. What was supposed to be strictly a business trip blossomed into a beautiful romance. The two fell in love very quickly, even though there was also a failure of real communication. That didn't stop them, though. SooYee's father was scheduled to leave back to the United States in just a month--but they made sure to spend every moment together. When he was forced to leave, he made a promise to her that he would be back...she waited for him--and he didn't show up in a few months like he had promised. When she was about to turn around and go home (she was at the place where they first met - the park under a Cherry Blossom tree) she saw him running towards her and they embraced. He immediately fell to one knee and he popped the question in Korean. She was shocked and surprised, but she said yes! It didn't take long for SooYee and her sister Ahn Hee to be conceived. Her life was filled with love, creativity, fun, inspiration, and individuality! Her parents raised her to be the best woman that she could be and for her to be daring and wild (like they once where). They told her to never let anyone's words bring her down because when people were against them getting married--well, they did what THEY felt was right. SooYee was really inspired by her parents very much...

SooYee came from a very great childhood. Her parents encouraged her to express herself and also to do well in school. Their encouragement, however, was one of the things that led her to become the spontaneous, over the top girl that she is today. SooYee was a riot in school, always making the kids laugh and always getting into trouble, although her GPA remains at a 4.0, it wouldn't be known to those who are around her because of her wild behavior. Her parents thought that a change of scenery would help tone her down and moved to Seoul, Korea. There, SooYee was reunited with her cousin, SooYeon -- and her personality sky rocketed. Having the two Soo's together was a "mistake" because they both feed off of one another's energy and are definitely spontaneous and over bearing. Her parents love seeing them interact together since they hadn't seen each other since they were in middle school (they moved to Seoul when SooYee was entering high school). But, they sort of regret the decision to have them two together...(but they will never admit that).

They talk about anything and SooYee somewhat gets her personality from her father because they both joke and play around like little children. HyoYeon pushes SooYee to be her best. They don't really have a rivalry, it's more
of friendly competition because HyoYeon pushes SooYee to her limit because she doesn't want
SooYee to think that there's never room for improvement. Whenever they see one another, their initial greeting
is sometimes either a playful rap battle, or even possibly a little dance battle. But, it's all in good fun.

How you met:

The two actually met one night when he was walking around Seoul, Korea. He just wanted to get away from his group and explore the town since they were visiting and had a concert the next day. In the streets, while he was walking, a taxi stopped and let out three very gorgeous girls (SooYee, her cousin, and her best friends). He immediately looked at the last one who stepped out. His heart danced and he just had to introduce himself to her. The girls saw him and smiled and continued walking to their destination. The look that SooYee gave to him was something that he'd never forget and he found himself following them until they got to a fancy eating place. When she was left alone, he immediately introduced himself as Choi Seunghyun rather than TOP and she politely told her his name. He was confused at first -- did she know him? But instead of wondering if she was a fan or not, he immediately found himself inviting her to the concert as his special guest the next night. She would have declined, but when her friends arrived back from the restroom, they told her to attend. She did, and she admits that she had a very nice time. From that night forward, he has made an effort to speak with her and get to know her better because he realized that she does not want anything from him (such as money or a push into the industry). It also makes her all the more likable about the fact that she composes music.

(He met her when she was nineteen - that was two years ago and they've been friends ever since - but there is no denying the chemistry between the two)
