PERSONALITY:

Appear to be distant even icy cold, people find it hard to get any closer with Yu Mei but the truth is, she just don't know how to socialising with others properly. She had been raised without having one she could talk to, so it's not a strange thing if she didn't know how to even say 'hi!' naturally not to mention that she is an introvert and doesn't open up to other easily, so if one is not patient enough, it sure is pretty hard task to be friend with Yu Mei (but actually she really is having a warmth heart).

She was raised with tons of goals to accomplish so it's not a surprise if she's so target oriented. Yu Mei is the typical of diligent student every teacher will glad to have in their class. The typical of one who never stops working hard even when she can do well without trying so much as she is fast on learning things and develop skills.

Yu Mei's childhood isn't a good to be remembered one; it even left a traumatic scars somewhere deep down her heart to be honest. Betrayal of those who she consider as her family is the main cause of her insecurities. Has she doing well enough? What if she is not good enough? Does people hate her? Will people love her as she is? Yu Mei always asked this question to herself every time she had been forced awake in the middle of night by her indescribable nightmare.

However, whenever she's around her guardian; the handsome professor namely Henry Liu, it seems like she become a bit different. She always nag him to tidy up the living room which they had shared together. She worried when he caught cold in the middle of winter, she cried in his embrace when her nightmare continuously taunting her, she laugh at his silly acts, she rolled eyes at his lame joke, it's like her emotion is never out of stock when they're together; she will even put a cute act so that her guardian will agree to do her any favor she asked for! But of course, Henry only get the chance to see this sight of ther after nearing two years pestering her and being too loud for her liking. And although her guardian is supposedly took care of her, Yu Mei found it's like she is the elder one in the house most of the time. She had been the one who took care of her guardian instead of being taken care of.

She enjoys silence but sometimes also afraid with it. Altough she show no emotion to strangers and remain cheerful whenever she's with her guardian, she is actually struggling to keep her emotion stable inside. She had never been having a best emotional maintenance ever since she wake up alone in the middle of the woods back then in her age of twelve. Her traumatic childhood not only left her with trace of negative traits though, at least after that time she found out that her survival intuition is above average and she could do just well by her own.

After enrolled to the sanctuary, some students may come and try to make conversations with her. She didn't know whether they did that because they're actually friendly and kind or because they just do that as a formalities so she won't go home and tell her guardian that she had a mean school buddies. She didn't wish the latter to be the answer though so she concluded that they're just being friendly to her and she had been trying her best to be one of the friendly person in return (although she is still a bit far from it). She slowly open herself up tough (or at least, she tried). 

BACKGROUND: 

Living with someone who weren't related to you by blood wasn't going to be easy and in Yu Mei's case, it's become even harder because of her godparent who were both strict and always put up a high expectation for her to accomplish. She was afraid to make mistakes which would lead them to disappoint in her or worst; punish her. Since she was young, her godparent had arranged so many courses for her to take. They enrolled her in the best academy in town, not because the best for her, but because they didn't want to embarass themself; however she still glad that at least her godparent still care for her education despite of not showered with enough love and attention.

Yu Mei never known who her parent were because neither her godfather nor godmother ever mention about them to her (not like they had time to do so though). Her acknowledgement about her true identity is as blank as a sheet of new A4 paper. Aside of being smarter than the rest of her folks, she always thought that she was just like the other kids in her neighbourhood and her primary school; ordinary and fragile; her godparent thought so too except the fraigle part of course because to them, kid in their household shouldn't be anything but perfect. So the moment when Yu Mei's power awaken in attempt to save her godparent, they lost their mind. As Yu Mei knocked out of her consciousness due to energy drain, her godparent decided to took her to the woods; a place far away from the residence they lived at, and abandon her there.

It's nearly another sunrise when Yu Mei's finaly gained back her conscious self, but instead of feeling the fluffiness of her bed, her body ached because of the hardness underneath her lying self. Then she blinked one to clear her blurry vision. Blinked twice to make sure she didn't see things. And then blinked thrice in disbelief. Was she being dumped by her godparent? It won't be. Why would they do that? Eventhough her godparent never shows any sign of love towards her, they won't be dumping her like that. It's not like she had done something strange to make her despicable for them. But wait... Did she just thought about 'something 'strange'? Then a rush of memory flashback hit her like a film strip. She really had done something strange. She did lifted the ground before tear them apart nearly day ago in order to get the masked man in her house away from her godfather. She did make the furnitures in the whole living room randomly floating around. She did caused a thrill of mini hurricane which then flew the masked men away from her house. She did so many things no human can do nearly day ago. What is she? She started to break down and afraid of herself. Her emotion could no longer being controlled as the hell for once again break lose. Her wailing caused the ground to shook violently before tear apart, the strong wind from nowhere suddenly flew in smashing the tall tree; makes its leaves flew everywhere but her way. After a while, she felt so weak that she wish she could just sleep and hopeful to be waking up in her room and all of this was just a nightmare; so she close her eyes and let the dark engulfed her vision. Few hours later, she woke up not in her room, but inside of something like a tent; a camping tent.

"Finally you're awake" was the first thing she heard and those voice doesn't sound familiar to her ears. She dared to sit up and look out only to find a man probably double her age looking down at her with a smile plastered on his face. Strange. It's her first impression to him.He told her about how he found her and about how she almost turn the woods into ashes and it only took second before she started to be terrified again but luckily though, the man know how to act. Before she could do any destructive things, he gently pat her back in circular motion; calming her for a bit. When she seemed to tone down a bit, he told her about what she probably possess and promise to be her guardian and will took her to a place where she is mostly welcomed and also the only place where people like her; like them belongs. She wanted to reject his offer but then she remember that she don't have place to return to. For a twelve years old, she really think too much that sometimes her thinking doesn't define her young age but she couldn't help it. She is forced to mature up faster than kids her age all thanks to her godparent. So there she was, following a stranger who magically became her guardian in the couple of hours after their meeting. Without she realised, they had been standing infront of a huge building located at Wudong Mountaint, a sanctuary where people like her had been educated and trained to master whatever they possessed. As they walked in, she could heard every people pass by them bowing in respecct as they called the man beside her by 'professor'. So his job is like her godmother? Yu Mei just hoping he is different from her godparent.

It had been years after being abandoned and her guardian had watched her to grew from a quiet kid to a naggy teen girl. On her 18th birthday, he left her with a message telling her to practice well and wait till he done his work so they could meet again and practice like they always been. She had been a bit familiar with her power by now, but refuse to used it because to her, the power she possess will only cause problem; it's what her power named after though. Besides, she only familiar with it but she never mention about able to fully controled it. Obliged what she had been told like a good kid she always been, she waited for him to comeback. Month replacing by year and she still got no message about him. Until the day of the attack news spread around, the whole sanctuary had been secretly transfering their student but she refuse to move out. The school had been slowly abandoned by its member, but she want to be remained and of course, the official won't let her. In Yu Mei's case, the official argued about transferring her into atmosphere considering her power is listed as one of the most dangerous and destructive kind added by the fact that she is yet to control it well. However, unlike her usual self who always obedient, she decided to not to  be this time around. She refuse to move because she afraid that her guardian won't find her when he comeback from his work. So the official has to make an agreement with her resulting with she agreed with the idea of being transferred to the emergency school located at Incheon until her guardian comeback to get her so both of them could be moved to the atmosphere. In return of the official's kindness, Yu Mei has to promised that she will pay extra attention to her emotions so she won't lose control over her power.

Their relationship is distant because her godfather is that typical of hardworking man who put works above everything else. However, she used to adore him and look up to him. She used to love him so dearly until she had been abandoned by.

Just like her husband, this woman barely make time for her family but at least, she spent quite a lot at home though never pay any attention to her goddaughter, Yu Mei unless it's something related to educational stuff.

An only person who managed to make Yu Mei open herself up. Henry is like a big brother to Yu Mei, someone she believe she can rely to. Although Yu Mei didn't know what he did around the sanctuary school, she is certain that Henry is not any ordinary staff because people around school seemed to look up for him and he gained the respect from people there. Years of being together (in family like term), Yu Mei had grown so comfortable around Henry and although she refused to admit it, Yu Mei seemed to favour him so much.

This is my first time doing this. I left out the love interst part as I didn't really think this character should have one, but if she really needs it, maybe you can arrange one for her.

I have done so many correction (and change some of it). I don't know how it turns out though. Could it pass your taste or not, I wonder... I hope this time around the application will do well though. Oh yes, I decided to change her godfather surename after re-read it because I don't think she has to get the same surename as her godfather besides, they disowned her so she didn't need one from them.

SCENE REQUEST: 

✩ A telling about where Henry had been all this time (like he is helping the sanctuary school in Russia or working on transfer paper so he could flee to atmosphere with Yu Mei) which ever suits. 

✩ Perhaps a bit revelation about her true identity? Though it's okay if there's none. A mysterious Yu Mei is also fine.

✩ A scene where she accidentially bumped into bullies at Incheon sanctuary and they try to pick on her because she is foreigner and couldn't understand their language resulting in her causing a mini chaos.
