notes: a rough arund the edges, but much nicer than she looks kind of person...think of regina mills (closer to more recent seasons) or emma swan/tay mom-esque.

beit that her father was raised in france, but met and had all his businesses in korea, when he heard the news that sunmi was pregnant with their first daughter, he wanted her to be the apple of his eye, and have her born in france. it was no london, or prague, but it was an elegant hob and it was a place fit for art lovers. it was a peaceful place for them to raise their daughter. so, on the night of november 22, kim ji-ah was born. the family had long purchased a home there, and it was agreed upon that kyeongil would commute every other week to visit them, whilst he spent the time in between running their lawfrim and finances. sunmi, on the other hand was a house-wife and jooseok was only a pre-schooler at the time his baby sister was born. because the family was wealthy, ji-ah grew up very privilaged. she was born with the silver spon in , and it made her the hard- she is today because as she grew up, she learned to differentiate between real friends and fake-friends who used her for her wealth. because of it, ji-ah suffered from heavy depression all throughout highschool and wound up in rehabilitation after trying to commit suicide. the time she spent in rehab caused her to miss out and ultimately repeat her senior year, which fortunately for her turned out to be the best year she had in the longest time.
fast forward through her senior year, nothing seemed unusual but there was still that thought that she was never going to be good enough for her elite status in wealth when she compared herself to her brother, who was so much more responsible, and intelligent. it was like he knew everything, and in the more recent years, he'd began to look at her as shattered glass. that's what she hated most about the relationship she had with her brother, because there was none. and it gave her drive, to make herself better, and better than him if she could. she asked her father for him to train her, to teach her everthing he knew about the firm, because she was about to come for it. her father would not deny her it.

love story: the first time they met was at the 2016 annual debutante ball held by the elite class of fashion in london. It was an annual ball where designers networked and gathered to show their class, but at the 2017 annual debutante ball, jia had met jiyong by chance encounter. after the meet, jiyong did not like jia at all. there was too much hate, and suffering in her. she tried too much and it just wasn't genuine. but his parents wanted him to date, and her parents just wanted her to be with someboy outgoing, and critically aclaimed. somebody that she wouldn't have to work hard with, to keep her future family in the "old money" ways. but jia was self-conscious. how could she live up to being any man's wife if there were so many problems with her. so she went on the only way she knew how too; with that wall of hers. rude, uninviting, indifferent. he deserved better.
- breif intermission-
still, she was soft around the corners. and sometimes, he caught that. he caught her weaknesses and he loved those parts of her. as much as he wanted her to be that person, always. he wasn't going to force her to be what she didn't want to be. she had a goal, and the more time they spent together, the more he came to realize it and why she had to do what she did. mother nature did touch them and touched them good because her baby is due in october 2018.
