Answer this question!

So some of you know that I'm super into long stories and lately my updates have been pretty long. I just wanna know your opinions.

Are you cool with a one shot consisting of 15k to 20k of words or do you like it more if it was updated in parts in different chapters?

I need to know this cause I feel like I can write longer with more details now and I'm not sure how to upload my fics.

Thank you in advance guys <3

If it's one go story, it would be obviously long, and might miss important notes. Though with this you'll never have to feel that it's a clift hanger cause it's already done.

If it's a chapter, there is always the thrill for what would happen next, something to look forward to. Though readers might get into you because we'll be asking for updates every now and then, some authors do get disturbed with that notion.

I think longer ones work best when they keep u intrigued :D
But it totally depends on you, how u want the reader to peruse through the story.
If it has a bit of mystery to it, then a break might just actually break the flow. but if it is a continued story, a break works for the best.

I read both types and honestly it could work either way. I will say if something is really really long I prefer chaptered because i may not have time to finish it one sitting and the chapters make a good book mark.

i used to read stories from the orig. aff (winglin) site with up to 120-150 chaps xD
but its up to u to do which of ems easier.
i prefer chaps cuz its easier than scrollin down from the 1st chap for eternity lol

You're super writer.....!! You can upload it as one shot or if the storyline is a lot more intricate scenes..
Divided it and upload it as a chaptered story...
And I wish I could writer a longer chapters and with more details in it but sometimes when the surge of inspiration coming, it's like a tsunami but sometimes.... My mind can be blank like a white A4 paper sheet..

Huhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhu.. !!!!!

Also if you decide to do a one shot then in the description write word count: 15–20k so people know. I’ve read some that are 40k so it’s not too long I don’t think. :)

You should just write and stop where it feels like a complete chapter and break it up however the flow works well. Don’t worry about how long or short it is and do what feels right to you <3

Oh wow that's a lot for a oneshot. It's alright actually, it can show your distinct characteristic lol. Or you can divide them into two shots, three shots if you'd like.

whatever you're most comfortable with

I'd say divide it so you don't mislead people since a oneshot usually makes readers think of something on the shorter side while it being divided shows how the story is longer

I like long stories but once in awhile a one shot is nice. I think that depends on the plot
