TVXQ sets a new record for male foreign artists in Japan
TVXQ has set a new record on Japan's Oricon Chart.
On October 31, Japan's Oricon stated, "TVXQ's new album 'FINE COLLECTION ~Begin Again~' has sold more than 130,000 copies during the first week of release, ranking 1st place on the 'Weekly Albums' chart."
This marks TVXQ's 6th time scoring number one on Oricon's Weekly Album chart, setting a new record for male foreign artists in Japan. The popular idol group surpassed renowned foreign musicians like Simon & Garfunkel and Bon Jovi, with the most no.1s for male foreign artists on Oricon.
In response to this, Yunho commented, "We are so thankful for ranking 1st place. We would like to thank everyone that waited such a long time for us. This is a new beginning for us once again and with our 5th Dome Tour ahead, we look forward to meeting with everyone in person."
Changmin mentioned, "To be honest, we were nervous about starting over again but I was so glad to hear we scored the number one spot. Like the title, 'Begin Again' is a special commemorative album with a lot of memories and we hope that many will listen to our music."
Meanwhile, TVXQ is set to kick off their 5th dome tour starting in Sapporo, Japan on November 11.
Congratulations TVXQ!
