personality —
I AM THE TOUGH BOY FROM THE STATES. Alex is pretty much everything that people imagine how most Americans must be like. He is loud, he is joyful, he is straight forward with his words and he's tough. Most of the time he goes over the top in his all-time present attempts to get into the center of attention. There's no such thing as silence wherever Alex is. He'll make sure that everyone is watching, that everyone knows what he's doing and to others this can get very, very tiresome and annoying. But Alex doesn't really care, it's not that he doesn't see how others see him, he just has his priorities set differently and he won't stop going all over the top until his father tells him differently. He's also very honest and overly savage in what he says. Not rarely he burns the other trainees one after another with the way he responds and comments even in front of the camera. Limits? What are limits. There are no limits. Alex would go as far as to even burn MCs or judges by giving sassy responses. Not even they are spared by his savagery. Alex won't hold back his urge to be a sassy back-talker if it assures him more screentime.

DON'T JUDGE ME, I'M NOT BEING LIKE THIS FOR MYSELF ONLY. Even though this boy is very well aware of how the other contestants dislike him, he's not doing a damn changing being the person he portrays he is. The reason is simple. He wants to be noticed, he wants to be appreciated and accepted. Not by other contestants, instructors or even the audience. He just wants his father to look at him and be a proud dad. In fact Alex is very sensitive. He never shows how words hurt him, how the judgmental eyes of others scare him or how he suffers being lonely... but he endures and never shows it to anybody since he doesn't want to be vulnerable. His own words might be insensitive but he does understand when others are hurt since he always hurts, too. But yeah... those who hurt or insult him should be aware of the fact that once you end up in his enemy radar, you're not safe from being burnt or interrupted by him the entire time. It's not even difficult to end up on his list. He's overly resentful. He'll bring up things that happened 10 years ago and be mad about it.  

I KNOW WHEN TO CRY, I KNOW WHEN TO SMILE. From all you read about this kid you might think he's some ty who doesn't know his limits. Not fully true. Alex might seem a little ignorant and dense but everything he does happens because he calculates how far his actions get him. If he notices that his plans don't work, he'll redirect where he's going and try it another way. If it works, he'll go all in until people get sick and tired of it and he has to find something else to entertain them. He's also very skilled in presenting him as a very likeable person in front of cameras. Oh yeah, he's such a cam . You should keep it away otherwise he'll impregnate it. Alex loves the camera. And the camera has no right to object to his love.

funfacts — 
╳ King of Fanservice - He'll rip his shirt or even the one of another trainee, he'll force skinship on others and he'll wink and throw hearts at the fans like there's no tomorrow. Fansigns? Be sure that he'll flirt the out of his body. 
╳ Piano & Violin - He does play both and he'll use any opportunity showing his skills off. His father originally planned to turn Alex into a violinist, so Alex appreciated it to the extent that he never abandoned learning thoroughly how to excel in his violin skills.
╳ English Smart- - If you don't speak English, don't pretend you can. Alex will call you out for being bad at it.
╳ Kwon Taejin - Most people call Alex Taejin because saying Taejin is so much more convenient to Koreans than saying "Ae-lek-su!". 
╳ The Loner - The others won't like him a lot and so Alex tries to annoy and pester them as much as possible to not be alone. Being the one they hate but don't exclude that obviously at least gives some kind of human warmth. But Alex never really belongs to a clique... even though he'd sometimes like to.
╳ I am envious - Whenever Alex sees other trainees embracing, encouraging or consoling each other, he'll be very envious for their bonds. Also, if someone gets a phone call or presents from his parents, he'll be watching those with even more envy in his eyes.
 

background — 
Alex grew up in the states with a father who wished his son to become a famous violinist one day. The pressure was way too big for the young man, however, and when he was about to fail and disappoint his family, he came across K-Pop thanks to the sudden worldwide fame of BTS and decided to give it a shot becoming a K-Pop idol instead. His father is sore about this but ah well. Live and let live.

My feelings are the most sincere. 

opinion on the bighit boys — Alex envies and does not envy the BigHit trainees. They seem to excel in almost everything but at the same time he can't stop thinking that something about them is fishy. Also he once noticed them fighting off-stage. That was odd. Very odd. 

opinion on the freelancers — They're all cool but honestly, Alex wants to be the one that stands out most among the freelancers. He might try to get closer to some, but only to see the benefit for himself in it.. 

interview time ! 

"hey, please introduce yourself."  

▪ "Hello everybody! My name is Kwon Taejin, or Alex Kwon, whatever suits your taste better! Thank you for having me here! I will give you joy and happiness, pinky promise!", he beams widely and holds his two pinky fingers up to make pinky finger swears.

"what made you want to become an idol and why did you apply for this show?"  

▪ "I like K-Pop! And I thought that I might give it a shot, to be one of those idols, too! Easy!"
 

"how long have you already trained and have you been signed under another entertainment before? if yes, how was it there and why didn't you stay there?"  

▪ "I've never been signed under any entertainment but I attended Juilliard before I came here Does that count?"
 

"what would you say is your biggest strength and your biggest weakness?"  

▪ "My biggest strength - my violin. And my charisma, of course. Weaknesses? Can we pretend I don't have any?", he laughs and winks at the interviewer.
 

"how far would you go to become an idol?"  

▪ "I'd totally smash my violin on stage."
 

"what do you have that makes you a standout? why should we pick you for the show and not someone else?"  

▪ "I have the authentic American flavor to serve you. And I am here with my beautiful lover, the violin - which I already mentioned I'd totally sacrifice for this."
 

"that's it so far. do you want to add anything else?"  

▪ "It's already over? Oh... I thought it'd be longer..."

the one and only.

Strength —  
Alex' only two skills are singing (plus a little bit of pseudo rapping) and playing the violin. His dancing is... yeah, let's not talk about it. He's only as good as his memory when he watches some funny K-Pop dance performances but that's pretty much it. Alex knows his limits and he knows that there are better singers, rappers and dancers competing against him, so his biggest strength is what people call Variety Skills. He'll focus more on displaying himself the most likeable in front of the cameras, counting on the viewer ratings more than on the show ratings. After all the audience is what'll bring the company the most money. If you're their favorite, they can save you. That's how his logics work. And that's the reason during dance performances he'll be the one having no chill on facial expressions, who'll be the jumping in front of every camera he sights and the one who constantly is appearing behind contestants who are being filmed.

Weaknesses —  
Except for singing, his violin and his variety skills, he's bad at everything that is required from an idol. Also making friends isn't his forte, either.
