▸ standing at 184cm and weighing at 67kg, byun baekhua is certainly a taller-than-average male. his fitting form and sturdy back is all a build-up of various kinds of sports over the years. especially due to the fact that he quite favoured swimming, it allowed him to carve the kind of muscle form he has now. meanwhile, despite somekind of colour changes in his locks from time to time, he is not as a hair fanatic as most people think. he does it out of boredom to perhaps sate it and more times than not, it doesn't.

baekhua consists of two people: baek and hua. baek is the professional people's charmer. he's extremely fluent in conversations and would always lead to a successful ending. he is the facade which baekhua create to strive in his field as a businessman. meanwhile, hua is his darker side. he is often a forceful and sharp-tongued character whom daily needs is met by making other people, who are not classified as important in his book, inferior. in general, he is extremely two-faced. only mellowing out for professional purposes or to those he truly likes, e.g. his friend, and discriminating against others in an often ill manner. he is prone to cursing due to his rather rough and lone wolf-like upbringing, which also explains his superior like mindset to others except the chosen few and his 'clients'. he is rather calculative in that aspect and is often able to easily change one's perception of him due to his eloquence in wording and a wonderful set of acting skills, one must say.
interiorly, baekhua is rather lonely lad starved of love and affection. he had lost his mother at a young age and his father literally did not do a single cent of parenting. he is forced to grow up in a rather suffocating upbringing, carved into being the next successor of byun&co instead of developing as a proper human being. other than his mass amount of negative qualities, some aspect of baekhua are rather tame. he could be affectionate towards those he adore and once that occurs, he is loyal for life. practically, his intelligence is beyond imagination, especially for his age, and he is a rather dexterous person. he has quite the ability to learn things quickly and is perceptive of people's reactions and the environment. he knows his strengths and weakness and often covers up his frail side by being insolent. overall, baekhua is quite a touch nut to crack but once you do, you're in for a sweet ride.
BACKGROUND.
baekhua is an only child. he is born to ceo and 8th generation successor byun yongjin and to his beloved mother ah miyeon. he had a rather pleasant childhood, in his opinion. he spent most of his times being taught various things by his mother and overflowed with love. he wasn't always as messed up as he is now. as a child, he was inquisitive and free-willed. he was always smiling and held tightly onto his mother's fingers. but due time, his mother had contracted a terminal illness and without a warning, dissapeared into the hands of death. his relationship with his biological father hadn't been flash at all. he had rarely seen him as a child and the times he did, nothing good came out of it. as the ill-tempered man his father was, baekhua had feared him as a child and as he transitioned into the adult he is now, it was more of a rebellion than not. still, he currently interns at byun&co and does various projects in vision of being a business manager in the near future.

likes :
+ yoon. his obsession with yoon has long broken through the roof. despite how cliche it is, yoon had always pointed his faults and questioned his actions instead of swearing right back at him. he thought it was a way to show that she cared enough to show him some constructive criticism about his character and maybe it started from there.
+ despite his looks, baekhua cannot drink coffee and is pretty much a tea enthusiast. he likes diluted ones such as green tea or chamomile.
+ sports. anything physical is up on his field despite being a business major. he consistently excels in any kind of physical activity and would spend his free time at a gym, playing soccer and etc.
+ sleep. as a person who's constantly thingking, baekhua values his shut eye time quite severly. he also hates waking up early or for no reason. therefore, one should really think twice before waking him up as he may do a little something to you if he finds out that he was awoken for no reason.
dislikes :
+ summer. more than anything, baekhua despise being sweaty for no reason. sure he likes exercising, but the sweat that came with it was slightly torturous. he overcame his hate for sweating when balancing it out with his love for sports.
+ spicy food. his palate is a bit more refined than others so he isn't too used to the use of excessive chilli.
+ undone laundry. despite how much of a ship-wreck his room is. if there's one thing that he does right, it's laundry. he tends to be the one in charge of doing laundry as he claims that 'it'll be horrific if he needed that certain pair of pants and it's in the wash'.

+ despite being close to an all-rounder, baekhua can't draw to save his life. sometimes he wonders how demented he could create a circle and manages to surprise himself every single time.
+ messy. if you do step into his room, the first thing you would realise is how cluttered and unorganised everything is. he tends to leave things in the floor and claims 'he knows where it is' when in reality, he racks his room for items when need be.
+ a believer of good oral hygiene. brushes two times a day (morning and night), flosses, does mouthwashes in between brushing and visits his dentist reguarly.
+ he knows how to make pressed, dried flowers (taught by his mother) and so, once in a while, when he sees a nice flower, he'll pick it up and create it into a bookmark or other neat trinkets for yoon

- baekhua lost his mother at the age of 6 due to a terminal illness. honestly, it wasn't as if they drifted apart after the passing of his most beloved, it was more as if the bridge that once connected the two place dissapeared. their relationship only went downhill from there on and these days, trying to put the two together is as useless as mixing oil and water.

- the three closest members from uni-prince. in haewoon was like a daily dose of mum for him. he was a simple man- but he knew what was right or wrong. his personality is somewhat similar to yoon, and hence baekhua finds a kind of reassurance in him. the frozen lawyer is baekhua's main target for a little word fight- though not much fighting on the victim's part. despite the childish exterior, the both of them tend to talk about pretty deep stuff with each other and often has the other's back. on the other hand, jaehoon and baekhua were the duo that gets scouted most by the ladies. the both of them were tall and sturdy with a good-looking face to boost. most of the time jaehoon tends to drag baekhua around to do some 'socialising' and tells him he can 'build his muscles later'.

the weekends are a bit of a mess to baekhua. it usually consists of him hanging out with friends, doing more sports and convincing yoon to hang out with him because he 'lacks friends' and mainly uses his dreadful personality as an excuse. yoon pretty much sees through his tricks but goes with him anyways- because she 'had time'.

PERSONALITY.
▸ between a reincarnation of an ingénue and an ice goddess with the heart of steel, yoon had ruled baekhua's heart with an iron grip. some say he's as whipped as cream- others say he's melted into milk. either way, none is incorrect. she isn't always so authoritative with people, it's just due to the course of baekhyun's traits that drove her into the wall with 'leadership', as he liked to call it. on her own, she's a through and through introvert, with a speck of valiance when need be. as a firm believer in courtesy, it is not a surprise that she despise the way in which baekhua treats others and is often seen pushing his head down force in an apologetic manner before promptly treating him with the cold treatment afterwards. baekhua's a er for it. she knew.
▸ yoon is also undeniably opinionated and passionate. she knows what and when to say things (appropriately) whilst also maintaining her posture and stance. she understands her morals wisely and is often at a mental struggle in allowing herself to come to like someone like baekhua. love is a mystery they say. and yoon knew why.
▸ in a brief summary, yoon is a natural wallflower (only because she chooses to socialise with certain people and rarely interacts outside of her small circle) who faces identity crisis in the face of becoming baekhua's sadistic love interest.
LOVE STORY.
▸ seventeen. it was when they met. during one of byun&co's christmas gala, yoon's father had attended as one of the newly promoted executive manager of the establishment. there, she was to flaunt her 'professional' smile and impress the rest of the crowd. her father had intended to flaunt his notorious so-called goddess-like daughter. it was of no harm intended, as yoon knew how over-the-top her dad could be when talking about his daughter. but during the middle of the event, she was exhausted of any kind of smile left, unfamiliar to being the center of the crowd. after excusing herself and heading to the small garden of rose bushes, she encounters a boy whom hair was of raven black, corresponding to his pupil and an aura of menace radiating off him. she knew he meant trouble.
▸ at first, baekhyun was as hostile to her like any other. but on the other hand, she was also 'his type' and hence managed to get her details from a secondhand source. "kang yoon?" "...yes?" "you have ten minutes. meet me in front of your house." and that was the first conversation the two held (well, it was a phone call). yoon was heavily disheveled and she had just woken up to pick up the call. so in her most glorious black hoodie and leggings, she had casually strolled to her front door, somewhat apprehensive of exiting her comfort space. "what the hell. what are you wearing?" "clothes? but nevermind that, who are you and why do you have my number?" yoon was the type of person who never gave out her personal number unless she deems the person to be fitting of the title 'friend'- hence, her small circle of friends. baekhua scoffs as he leans against his fancy, imported car. "do you really don't know or are you just playing naive?" yoon really didn't like him by that point. "i don't know who you are but is this how you normally talk to people? because it's seriously rude and off-putting. and i hope you're not trying to pick me up because it's definitely not working. now if you may excuse me, i have better things to do." and this was the spark of interest baekhua needs to come back- and more.
▸ in between the constant chase baekhua puts up and the wall yoon grew, they became somewhat good acquaintances- or you could even say 'friends'. baekhua's interest in her turned from the usual one nights to 365 days a year, every year. yoon who had a repellent view of baekhua in the beginning, became able to see through his natural facade. he was a child lost in translation. he didn't know how to properly treat people or even manage his own relationship. during the course of their relationship, she had taught him the rights and wrongs, how to become a human being and perhaps, how to love.
INTERACTION.
▸ "do you have eyes for accessories or do you not know how to use?" baekhua's usual torment to people who not classify as important is evident in his everyday life. although, old habits do die hard. cue yoon who was just walking pass. she stares for a while, sighs before throwing a harsh kick onto the back of baekhua's knees. "i apologise on his behalf. he's mentally disabled please excuse him." and then she'll proceed to drag a very horrified looking baekhua, who was practically a deer caught in the lights. "y-yoon, i was just talking-" "you were bullying someone. again." "you know i don't mean it" "i'm going to have to cancel lunch with you today." "fine! i did mean it! i meant every ing word i said. i won't lie to you anymore. don't cancel the lunch- just don't. ok?"
ENDING.
▸ i'd like to see baekhua risking his life for yoon (maybe someone who's been antagonised by baekhua aims for revenge and tries to hurt yoon when baekhua steps in and gets hurt instead(?)) somehow and then they get together. yoon's the type to keep denying her feelings because honestly, baekhua's personality is a rotten apple and she knew it. but as if she was eve, the apple is still undeniably attractive in her eyes.
FINISHING line
COMMENTS. as long as you make him as sour as lemon bitter + a sprinkle of snarkiness then we're all set. if baekhua is poison, yoon will be the antidote :) that's the kind of relationship i had in mind! and yoon's usually quiet but she has a strong sense of opinion and someone who's "morally correct". you can guess, baekhua is the opposite. he's "morally incorrect".
