PERSONALITY
Deliberate, easy going, curious, and eager. While others are ready to jump into the fray, Shaun is wiser and relies on his logic to guide him rather than his impulses. Happy to learn just about anything, a lecturer finds an apt pupil in Shaun. He is truly the person who learns from the mistakes of others, and  has a mind that seems like it's a sponge absorbing any and every bit of knowledge he can gain. If you need to know something: Shaun probably already knows it. It's easy to forget about Shaun though: he prefers finesse over flashy displays, and has no real desire to be the best per se. The only ambition he has is to be a good role model for his younger siblings and to one day be a teacher himself. He is not a man of physical action, and shies away from most conflict. Slow and steady wins the race is his motto. Art takes time: he is patient enough to wait for his time.

BACKGROUND 
Son of a librarian and school teacher, there is nothing that remarkable about Shaun's past. The whole idea of magic is a wonderully fascinating and exciting thing for him, and his family is amazed and equally as excited for him to be attending Hogwarts.  He was raised with an intense love of learning and open mindedness. 

 

FAMILY

Mother and Father - Ramona (formerly Soleimani) and Theodore Roberts - Ramona is a school teacher for secondary while Theodore is a librarian for a university. Both are very proud of their son, and often comment on how he is clearly smarter than they are. Good people, but overly exciteable when it comes to new things.

Little Sister - Maryam Roberts - 9 - Maryam wants to be a witch too! But so far, it's hard to tell if she will be one or not. If you ask Shaun, he thinks his little sister is even more brilliant than he is. He loves her dearly, but will stil lcall her a brat because she really is a spoiled thing.

Little Brother - Nicholas Roberts - 7 - the polar opposite of Shaun and Maryam, Nicholas is ery much a trickster and troublemaker. He says he will be very mad if Shaun ends up being the only wizard in their family.

ARE YOU BRINGING A PET? "Not this year. I've got too many things to worry about. It wouldn't be fair to a pet."

ANY THOUGHTS ON HE-WHO-MUST-NOT-BE-NAMED OR HIS FOLLOWERS? "From what I've been told, I shouldn't think too positively. There's always two sides to anything however. I may not think what they did is right: but I can try to understand why they did it."

I really wanted a side char who is like...the historian of sorts. The person who knows quite a bit, but isn't in the action either by choice or chance.
