Fiction Novel Recommendations! | Let's Share and Discuss!

I'm bored. So, I decided to do this. And I've been thinking to do this since long ago actually. You guys may ignore this/read then ignore this. Or even better! Read then let's share and discuss this by comment the comment box below!

I know that people join asianfanfics because they like reading with the characters staring their bias. And there's a lot of freaking good stories here that I wonder why they won't just publish and become a professional author. So, if you like to read fanfiction, do you like to read novel? If you do, what genre do you like? What's your favorite book? Who's your favorite author from the real life?

I have read a lot of novels. And I mostly read YA fantasy or something dystopian which has a spice of romance (because who doesn't like love story?). I don't really read contemporary though. I only read the one that I heard REALLY good.

So, here is going to be MY ten recommendation novels for you! Take note that mostly are going to be fantasy because I LOVE fantasy. And that these are in no particular order. Well, except the last two. hehe.

10. Geekerella by Ashley Poston

This is one of the BEST contemporary book I've read. Seriously, where have you been if you haven't read this? This is a cinderella retelling. And before you think, meh, I've read (or watched) a lot of cinderella retelling. Hold on hold on, you really need to pick up this book because this is unlike any other cinderella retelling story I've read/watched. The writing is damn good, characters are so damn real too. And what makes this different than the others because this has the theme of fandom. Wow. I– Like okay, this is really good, kay. Which is why I recommend this to you guys to read!

9. Heartless by Marissa Meyer

Another retelling. IT'S FANTASYYYY. It's a retelling of the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. It's actually a story of before Queen of Hearts become Queen of Hearts (confused? hehe). I really like this one. I really like the world in this book and the writing is on point. It's so whimsical and Alice In Wonderland is one of my favorite cartoon. This book actually really punch me in the heart and you get to know why the Queen of Hearts is, well, mean in the Alice in Wonderland cartoon. You go through the journey with her and you can't help to feel pity for her. You have to read this.

8. Never Never Series by Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher

Image result for never never

It's contemporary. And there's mystery. There's three books for this series. But I need to confess, I hate the third book of this (: Don't get me wrong, it's just because of personal taste for hating the third book. The first and the second are SOOOO good. Full, full, fullllll of mystery. I can't stop reading this as I turn the next page again and again. You try to search it and read the synopsis, there's no way it does not intrigue you to read it! Don't get turn off because I say I hate the third book. Even though I hate the ending, I still like this series and recommend this for you. It's seriously just because of my personal preference. You know what, you try to read it first. And when you've finished, come back and find me and I tell you why I hate the third book. STILL enjoy it tho!

7. The Young Elites Series by Marie Lu

THISSSS SERIESSSS. HOOLLLLAAAA. It has fantasy! It has badass characters! It has superpowers! It's an anti-hero story. Neither of the characters good nor bad. Holyyyy cowwww. This–this was in the top of my list of favorite before I found another novel (I'm seriously going to tell you guys LATER). So, this places at the second place now, lol. But still SOOOO GOOOODDD. I like and could relate myself to the female main character. This series is SO dark and creepy and scary but still awesome and delicious and y and sdfghjk. The first book is great. The second book is even more amazing. The third book IS MESSING ME UP! MARIE LU! MARIE LUUUUU!
I've read another series of Marie Lu and that is the Legend series. Which is another awesome series too. Marie Lu writing is like sinking you into it. She writes action so well that you can't get confused.

6. The Wrath and The Dawn Series by Ahdieh Renee

Baby, this series is hand down one of the best too. This is a retelling of the classical One Thousand and One Nights tale. So, it's about a king who took a new bride each night just too kill her when morning came. Yikes. Clearly there's a mystery behind this, yeah. The characters really grow on me. I loveeee the two main characters. I wanted to write 'especially' but, no, no, I really love the both of them. The side characters are also endearing. I even read one of the novellas, which is the Moth and the Flame. The novella told the story of the two side characters I love and it's also good even though it's too short for my liking (but still good). This duology is thumbs up. But, I got to say that I enjoy the first book WAY more than the second. The first book is everything. The second? Can't compare to the first because I feel like there are holes in it. I still have questions but I get no answers. But, really, you should check this book because it's THAT GOOD.

5. Flame in the Mist Series by Renee Ahdieh

Another series by author Renee Ahdieh. It's a new book that just released this year so there's only still one book. I don't know about you guys who might going to pick this up and read it. But if you find you're bored halfway, pleaseeeeee, just try to hold on and read until the end. It's totally worth it. Because from my own experience, at first, I was disappointed and bored with it. But the characters and the mystery that keeps piling made me holding on to the last page. Seriously, I almost give up with this so many times. I even ranted to my friend because I was so pissed. But thennnn, closing to the ending it gets hella good. LIKE SERIOUSLY HELLA GOOD. and what pissed me off was when I was so pumped up about the book already and couldn't wait what stored next, next thing I know, it ended. ((((((: I– ASDDFGHJK. I NEED TO WAIT ANOTHER YEAR FOR THE SECOND BOOK WHAT!

4. Firebird Series by Claudia Gray

This has sci-fi. And you guys need to know I often steer away from sci-fi because sci-fi confused the hell out of me. I don't get sci-fi movies or stories. I get a headache whenever I watch movies related to sci-fi. I-I really can't. Lol. Then how the hell I read this series? One day, I was bored and looking for a good book to read. And I know this series for so long already but never wanted to try to read it because SCIFI. I had read the synopsis AND I DON'T GET A SINGLE THING OF IT. But, I WAS SO BORED, so decided to read it. I don't regret a single thing. HAHAHA. I like the universe travelling and dimension idea. And I LOVE that the author put in the book saying that a new dimension is created whenever humans need to make choices because each choices then create a new universe. WHEN I READ THAT I GASP. Because I've ever thought of that too! And I believe there's actually a lot of universes. You know, like you have to make a choice A or B. And if you pick A, a new dimension appeared if you pick B. You understand? ANYWAYYY, I think that the element of sci-fi isn't pretty heavy because I can get through it, lol. And to be honest, I just scanned quickly when scientific came out. Plus mark for the titles and covers. In conclusion, you need to read this because this series is awesome.

3. My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows

You guys just need to seriously pick up this book and read it. This book is so fun. So much fun really. I have a good laugh with this story and I love the jokes inside. I love the twist the authors made. This book is about Lady Jane Grey who was an England Queen for only 9 days before she was executed. Yikesss. The authors take her figure and twist her story and the world here and there into something fun and hilarious.I really don't want to say much because it's better this way I think. Because I read this book without knowing anything too. I read this because it's a recommendation from a booktuber I often watched. And, boy. Hahahah. Didn't see that coming. It also has romance in it and I loveeee every single bit of the romance inside.
Then, I want to show you the dedication: For everyone who knows there was enough room for Leonardo DiCaprio on that door. And for England. We're really sorry for what we're about to do to you history.
I'll be honest that I don't get the first sentence. I'm such a moron. BUT. The next sentences have me laughing!

3. Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella

I'm so glad I found this book. I read this in 2014 and is still one of my favorites. The characters are so fun in here. I love the conflict. I love the romance. I love how the main character evolved. I'm just really glad that I stumbled upon this book. And how I got to read this book was because my tuition had asked us to do a book report by picking and reading a book from the library and I picked this one. Ohhhh my Goddddd. Thank Godddddd. Thoughhhh, there's a s*x scene in this book so if you're still a minor or uncomfortable with it than hold on until you're comfortable with it, I guess. I've read Remember Me and I've Got Your Phone Number by Sophie Kinsella too and those two are freaking good too.

2. The Female of the Species by Mindy McGinnis

This book is a must read. Youuuuu musttttttt. I knew this book from a booktuber and I'm so glad that I read this one because it seriously has a deep meaning in it. It's pretty educational if you ask me. We got three point of views and I love the three of them because we get to see them evolve and grow up. I love the side characters too. I love the author makes all characters inside have such realistic flaws. We have the popular perfect boy in it but he's actually poor. We also have the popular girl who sleeps with everyone in the school but actually isn't smart and she knows and that she actually nice but also, you know, flaw. Seriously, what makes me deeply in love with the book is the characters. And also the story is educational. It's about personal mental struggle and . I can't say enough how nice this book is and I'm glad this book exist.
I saw that this book has been compared with Thirteen Reasons Why. I didn't read the book but I did watch the TV show. And I know that 13RW is very controversial because of the graphics that shown. The point is that these two actually wanted to talk about the same thing: . Now if you ask me, I choose this rather 13RW. I don't know about the book but the TV show is quite disturbing and I have mix feelings about it.
Though, 13RW is wayyyy more popular than this one. I don't get why this doesn't receive as much love as 13RW.
I hope you guys would pick up this book and read it and sink this story in. I can assure you that it'll hook you just by reading the first chapter.

SO THOSE ARE MY TEN RECOMMENDATION NOVELS FOR YOU GUYS. Helloooooo my fellow readers, are there any of you have read the books I mentioned? Let me know by comment? We could talk and discuss about this. I seriously need more friends :') Because I have only ONE friend who love to read book like I do and it that our taste is different but we still hype up to each other tho lol!

Notice that I didn't put a very well-known YA Fantasy/Dystopian books like author Sarah J.Maas' because I haven't read her books (: Kill me please. I HAVE A COPY OF THRONE OF GLASS but still only the book one and haven't read it. sdfghj. I'm saving up money to buy the second and the third. You guys need to understand that imported books are hella expensive in my currency. And I mostly read ebooks but I want a physical copy for books THAT ARE REALLY GOOD. I don't have any copies of An Ember in the Ashes series): I'll buy a copy of the third book tho next year!

Lastly, thank you for taking the time to read and I hope you like this recommendation I put! Have a good day folks!
