35 Questions for Writers

Taken from @stargazerxx

1. How did you come up with your username and what does it mean?

Haha funny story. I was actually watching an anime called Matantei Loki Ragnarok (yes, I didn't get my username from Avenger's Loki), and I just fell in love with the character Loki and all the mythology behind it. I decided to read more about Norse Mythology and found out Loki was the "bad" guy. Well, more like he was the trickster out of the other gods, and I always love tricksters (and sassy people which is why Youngjae from BAP is my favorite). The reason why I chose LokiCraze123 was because I love the Norse God Loki and Craze because I couldn't think of anything else to go with it. Honestly, I was about to put LokiHearts, but it didn't sound right to me at that time. I kept it ever since.

2. Which is your most subscribed to story?

Dealing With Lu Han (Which I'm re-writing cause I didn't really like the original)

3. Why did you pick your user photo/thumbnail?

Because DaeJae. I love DaeJae and that Bubble Tea song is so cute. Plus, I just love their interactions and I wanted a gif that would match that. And I feel like they're best friend goals.

4. Who is your AFF bestie?

Hmm... The two friends I usually talk to are Checlie and MostValuablePeasant (:

5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?

Not really. Not because I don't like them, it's just I read quite a bit and most of the ones I follow aren't completed. If they are, most likely I will after some time.

6. How many stories are you subscribed to?

A lot. Too much to count especially since I started here in 2011.

7. Which AU do you find yourself writing the most?

Before it was high school AU, but now I'm really into making my own fantasy universe.

8. How many friends do you have?

I believe last time I check, I have about 400+. I'm pretty friendly, so if you want to talk to me, I'll always respond in some way!

9. Is there something you'd like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)

I'm not really afraid of people judging me about what I write because I write for myself and share it to people who are interested in reading. I prefer it this way because I get to meet different kinds of readers and be able to expand my genres.

10. Is there anything you would like to be better at on aff? Writing, graphic design (posters), replying to comments, updating regularly, etc..?

I especially would like to be better at graphic design. I do some of the simple things, but at the same time I'm content with what I can do. I also want to improve on my editing because I get lazy.

11. How many subscribers do you have?

I don't really want to say because I'm not really looking at how many subscribers I get in a story. If they want to read it, that makes me happy. If they don't, that's fine because everyone has their own taste in stories (:

12. How many stories have you posted online to this day (finished and unfinished)?

On here, 28, but on other websites (I use a different username), I probably have a total of 7 more.

13. How many stories do you have saved in your writing program?

A LOT. Haha I love writing different plots. I'm always having a new one every time something sparks my interest. Plus, some of my dreams end up being potential stories.

14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?

Mixture of both. When I was little, I always make a movie inside my head before I sleep and continue it the next night. I've done that recently, but now I'm writing it with a few tweaks because I forgot what I originally planned.

15. Have you ever co-authored a story?

Yes. It's a SooHoon One-Shot Collection. We haven't updated in so long because I disappeared for 3 years and I don't know what happened to the author now that I've returned. I also tried co-authoring with one of my friends on another website, but our styles were so different, it didn't work out in the end haha

16. How did you discover AFF?

Man. That was like 6 years ago... I think I was writing my first fanfic (which is also posted on here) on Wattpad. One girl found it and we started talking. She introduced me to AFF, so I gave it a shot and I'm so glad I did.

17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author on AFF?

Not really, and I'm fine with that. I used to want to be popular, but now I honestly don't mind where I stand, mainly because I'm writing for my enjoyment.

18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?

Nope, but if I did maybe Crazers? Hahahahaha >.<

19. Was there an AFF author who inspired or encouraged you to write?

I definitely have quite a few writers who inspired me. (: MuchAdoeAbout, Truelove96, XOXIUMINXO and Checlie! (Sadly, 3/4 of them don't write as much anymore)

20. How many karma points do you have?

Eh. I'm not going to say because I find that irrelevant.

21. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?

Just keep writing! Honestly, there will be someone out there who will read your story, so don't give up. If you love your story, then that's all you need because it's all based on your passion. It shouldn't be based on how many people are reading or how many people are commenting (However, it's really encouraging if people do. I get even more excited with I find people commenting on my stories). But also consider constructive criticism. If you want to improve on your writing, request at a review shop or read classic literature books. Review shops because they're there to help you improve, not put you down. Even if you get a low score, that just means there's room for improvement. As long as they give you their reasons, then don't feel too discourage. Classic literature books because there's some pretty good ones out there. Also, that's where most of the stories that we read now derived from, and if you want a meaningful story, a lot of classic literature have good themes when you look into them. My favorites include: The Picture of Dorian Gray, Crime and Punishment, O Pioneers, and Farenheit 451.

22. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?

Usually I plot them out just in case I forget a scene or if I take a long break since I'm busy with studying and such. I do that for my more complicated plots. As for the fluffy, whimsical ones, I just figure it out as I go and try to connect future scenes with the previous ones.

23. Have you ever gotten a bad review or comment on a story? If so, what did you do?

Not really. I wouldn't say bad review or comment. I would say constructive criticism. Most of the time is was grammar. However, I did kinda get a negative comment about one of my characters being super OC from real life. In all honesty, I didn't like the way I portrayed him either. However, it's a story. It's my character and the way he acts is essential for character development. I make my characters the way they are, whether they're like that in real life or not, because I want to shape them into a character that is better due to the events that take place. It's honestly an important thing when writing. Your character has to change in some way. (Sorry, I started rambling. I got triggered)

24. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, , etc..)

Action, but I'm slowly working on it. Oh, but the one I'm mostly struggling in is horror. I have never tried that before.

25. What story(s) are you working on now?

Imprisoned, Taboo, and another two I'm working on offline for now. One is called Freedom and the other is Heartless. All these stories are DaeJae because I love my DaeJae.

26. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?

YEPP. I do that all the time. That's what I'm doing now which is why I have 2 stories offline haha

27. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?

Yeah. I like to at least write a chapter a night if I can. If I can't, I aim for at least a page or two. If I can't even do that, a paragraph or two is fine. I would also write little snippets for future scenes.

28. Do you think you've improved as a writer since you first started?

OH, DEFINITELY. I was looking back at my old stories and couldn't help but cringe. That's also why I'm redoing Dealing With Lu Han. Most of it will be the same because I'm too lazy to re-write the whole thing.

29. What is your favorite story that you've written?

I would say currently Imprisoned and then my offline story Heartless. Imprisoned because I've been wanting to write it for so long and I managed to make it the way I want it to have *spoiler* a sequel.

30. What is your least favorite story that you've written?

Probably a lot of my older stories because they're so cringy, but I love them also because it shows how much I changed, and it shaped me into who I am now. Plus, I met a lot of cool people from those stories.

31. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?

Most likely just casually writing when I get a chance. I don't think I'll have as much time the older I get, but I don't want to lose it.

32. How many upvotes do you have?

I really don't want to answer these kinds of questions.

33. What is the easiest thing about writing?

I think for me, coming up with an idea and creating characters. OH MY GAAHHDD I love creating characters. My favorite ones I've created are from my story Stuck in Neverland (incomplete because I lost the inspiration to write) and Corrupted Flower (also incomplete). I think the characters were very distinct in both stories and all of them have a past that the protagonist learned over time. I just love making mysterious characters.

34. What is the hardest thing about writing?

Grammar. I'm not that great at grammar. And dialogue because in real life I'm not good at conversing with people.

35. Why do you write?

I enjoy writing and I need an outlet for all the stories I make up in my head. Also, I just love making people smile when they read my stories (or at least create some kind of emotion for them). Also, I write because it soothes me. It relaxes me after a long day of just school and studying. (:

Turns out that I'm a Crazer! Also I'm fluttered that you consider my stories that good and (even more) that you consider me your AFF friend! Just know that I feel the same way about you (and your stories!)
