THE HUMOROUS CLOWN OF THE GANG. maybe it's because she's quirky, or maybe it was just because she was abundant with stories to tell. either way, she's the funny one with dramatic expressions and luck that were blessed by the variety gods ( read: she's unlucky ). and that luck of her's didn't only come as a package with her love life—a number of injuries she gained throughout her life could be even more than a number of words in an official law book ( who the hell twist their thigh muscle just by standing up? apparently, her ). not only that but her remarks could be quite witty and her comebacks were so savage it made the worst of predators look like a harmless baby hamster ( sister: "i feel like a disney princess "; hwayeon: " unless you're the aftermath of snow white eating the poison apple, i would like to object to that statement." ) .
SHE'S AS BRIGHT AS THE SUN, AS CHEERFUL AS A PLAYFUL PUP WITH A TOY, AS JOYOUS AS ANYONE WHO WON THE LOTTERY—SHE'S FELICIFIC. honestly, she's the vitamin who loved to bring the mood up. her gags and bright personality made it easy for the people around her to smile. she absolutely loved to see people elated, and even if most times the people she's made happy had been people who mainly laughed at her self-depreciative jokes ( because those jokes were what they've said behind her back ), she would still feel proud at gaining a smile from them. she promoted happiness and was a happy virus that could possibly be the only kind of virus no one wanted to eliminate.
SHE BUILT HER OWN FANTASY WITH THAT CREATIVE MIND OF HER'S. as a webtoon artist, she's constantly forging thousands of ideas, millions of designs, and a story which tied it all together. once upon a time, it had been her way of escaping reality—this imagination of her's. but now it's her career and in a way, her child. her creativity, though, was fueled by trivial information or more useful knowledge. with it, she had created that dimension of constellations and made an interesting series that led to people avidly reading her work. creativity was her tool of success and her hands that held the pen had made it into a reality.
HONESTY MAY BE A VIRTUE, BUT IT WAS ALSO QUITE THE SIN. this was a statement she could attest to. as a woman who preferred to be blunt rather than sugar coat her words to the point that it could induce cavity. of course, this led to various troublesome situations for her since these days people relied on lies and loved to talk behind other's backs. she hated that. if you really disliked someone, don't up to them and then talk badly about them when they don't look. you must be honest and tell it to their faces about what you didn't like about them. she couldn't understand people sometimes—they considered someone terrible yet would act nice to them due to cowardice or a shady reason. at least, if you had something bad to say and were not going to tell it to them face-to-face, keep quiet.
AS ZANY AS A CIRCUS ACT ON CRACK. there was no way that she was normal. nope. nada. zilch. first, she's openly admitted to close friends that she was someone who loved to write romantic relationships between men ( which could get either really messed up or rated ). second, of all, she watched too much tv ( like, seriously, how could she tell what movie it was from barely one second of the audio of an iconic scene or it's ost? ). thirdly, her lack of luck and humor really just made her all the wilder ( her date had looked at her as if she was an alien when she arrived with sticks and leaves in her hair, too many scratches and dirt on her and just a seriously messy look—it's not her fault that she tripped on nothing and landed in a pile of the remains of a tree ). finally, her family ( which would be explained more in detail later ).
HER FIRST MEETINGS ALWAYS REVEALED HOW SHY SHE WAS. people who were under her list of friends tend to forget how shy she actually had been initially. she's unused to spotlight, she strayed to the walls in social events, and she's not as peculiar or open as when she's with those she was comfortable with. it's mainly due to her insecurities that she felt a bit awkward around new people—always worried that she'd fumble in her words or make herself seem worse. it's because of this that it was difficult for her to make friends at times. it's a miracle she even managed to make a friend. she wouldn't know how it would be like if she didn't have woori ( god forbid anything that would even mess with woori, or else she's quickly going to shatter that shell of her's in order to raise hell on earth for the one that even dared ).
SHE'S SO INSECURE DESPITE BEING SO WONDROUS. ugly, unattractive, mad—she could keep going on. those had been the words she had been told by her exes one too many times and that had led to her looking at herself and wonder—was she really that disgusting? love's failed her too many times and people's whispers had poisoned her so much to the point that now there were invisible shadows and whispers of their horrid comments choking her. it's become hard to talk to strangers, it's become hard to trust people, and sometimes she just wished that she was born prettier or in a more normal life. but then she took it all back when she's greeted by her family's form of love and knew that there was nothing she could really do about it. people were people, and by society norms—she's picked as one of the scapegoats that should be picked on for having the inferior genes and being an oddity.

PROLOGUE;
A PECULIAR VARIETY OF INDIVIDUALS FORMED HER FAMILY. her mother and father were high school sweethearts, her elder sisters were twins and she also had one older brother. it’s a variety of individuals, and if it weren’t for the fact that they were family by blood—they would seem more like a rag-tag group of people. they’re a family who was limitless with their strange tales and one that made many questions how they even managed to land in such situations.
oh well, it’s better than boring at least.
CHAPTER I;
SHE SUCCUMBED AND ACCEPTED THE INSANITY OF HER LIFE. from a young age, she had realized that the shenanigans of her family were something very much akin to what one could see in a comedy sitcom. she found that out once she told tales about her life to her friends or when she had to tell the story behind her chosen item for show and tell. really, how was she to know that no one else had an experience where they had to crash in their neighbor’s place because their parents tried to surprise each other by going to the other’s location and failed as they both moved at the same time. romantic, but an aggravation to the children.
she had also been a loud child, and in a household of six—being loud was needed when you need to get your say in a conversation. not only that, but she had an interest in anime and fantasy tales. out of everyone in the class, she tends to be the top in fictional writing. but she hadn’t really reached the levels of crazy that her siblings did—yet.
if you were to ask how that was even possible, she’d recount a long list of answers. for one thing, her older brother’s a delinquent who somehow managed to nearly burn down his school and not get caught ( she always wondered how that was even possible—but then it was her brother so that’s a good enough answer for how he managed that ). one of her sister’s involved in a cult ( luckily this cult wasn’t as bad as some others she heard about. heck, they gave them cookies and worshipped a rabbit for god’s sake! ), whilst the other was a cougar who’s got horrible taste ( seriously, how many ugly criminals was she going to date when she literally had lines of handsome men after her? ).
honestly, she was the sanest on out of the four children of the chae family. well, that might be because she was still in elementary school. she’s probably going to deal with the madness later on in life.
CHAPTER II;
BUT HER ODDITY HAD ISOLATED HER FROM THE NORM. it's like she was a different species, somehow. the others found her ugly and weird, and she's been a victim of bullying by many of the other kids and the only one she could call a friend had been ahn woori. they were the targets of many and she felt a connection to the poor girl who suffered the same fate as her. she thought it was unfair, though. how could people be so cruel just because someone was born with a disability?
park haejin had also been one of the worst. though, he mainly targeted woori much to her chagrin. she tried to protect woori in a way by being worse as a person by ridding of any care for her fashion sense, becoming cruder and generally someone that had neon signs on her to get bullied. she tried her best, and during the later end of fourth grade people had started to shift their attention to her. unfortunately, it wasn't enough for woori did end up going back to her homeschooled life. she managed to stay in contact with the girl, though.
but when woori left, she saw the monsters pouncing on a different target. when her friend left, she noticed the grotesque transformation her classmates took as their horrible hands clawed at their new 'toy'—haejin. she saw them form a mutiny against the ringleader, bringing him down and drowning him in poison. it's a horrible turn of events but a part of her had thought he deserved a bit of what he's going through.
despite that fact, she hated the others more. they had been vile and tried to use her to make haejin feel even worse. but instead of going along with their plans, she instead gave the tongue-lashing of a century. of course, she didn't spare haejin that much either but she definitely burned her classmates even more. haejin, who was going through a turmoil that time didn't even know what to think but she had simply told him that the enemy of her enemy was her ally even if said ally had once been an enemy too.
in a way, haejin and her became alright with each other. albeit, they never tried to become friends. and even when the bullying got worse for her, she had never once regretted her actions.
( but it hurts, and she couldn't help but want to escape. it's a miracle, though, that in the hardest moments of her life she had found a friend through uncanny means who was going through his tough times too. )
CHAPTER III;
AND HER HEART'S SHATTERED FOR THE MILLIONTH OF TIME. from her time in middle school, her love life had been undeniably cruel. she had been a romanticist once, believing in prince charming and first loves. unfortunately, the first guy dated her to win a bet. then the next guy dated her so he wouldn't be single. and then there was that one time when she was cheated by the guy.
they always told her that she was unattractive, that she was too wild, or how her family was just too much. she's always the one bearing the burnt of their words, never the one breaking up as she couldn't help but play with the 'what if's. her mind never stopped imagining moments of her and her boyfriend, of joyous love and them on their wedding day. it's her dreams that she indulged in, but they were all thrown away as soon as they ( never her ) broke up with her.
yet, even if a part of her knew what was going to happen when a guy comes up to her to ask her on a date. even if she was aware of their intentions, she couldn't help but want to try. fate would have brought her together with one man at least once, right?
it's no wonder that she fell so in love with that man—ahn bohyun. he was kind, made her feel that it was alright to be her, was fine with her family. he was like her dreams come true until—
she saw him with other girls, saw the endearing titles for different people on his phone, and even her sister told him how he flirted with her. and she didn't want to believe it at first, but when the pieces of evidence were put right in front of her—well, she couldn't deny the truth any longer. even so, she had been a step too late as he had dumped her not too long after she accepted how he was. he even told her in detail of how much he hated to be with her and the like.
his words had pained her the most, and her confidence had just been ripped away from her. and soon, she wallowed from the depression of her love life, before deciding that maybe she should really do something about how she looked. the people who loved her for how she was had said that she didn't need to do such things but by then, even their words felt like compliments out of pity.
and she also had decided to rely on a matchmaking event as the last attempt in love. but before the event, she would change herself. for she couldn't help but think that no one would ever accept her for the way she was.

FINALLY, THE LAST LINE HAD BEEN CROSSED. he finally decided to rebel against his parents once they started to make him meet girls and forced their meetings. they were pretty, they were rich, and they all weren't someone he felt he could give his whole lofe to in the drop of a hat. he could only think of the person on the other side of the screen who had been there for him as his support. because of this, he decided that the first course of action was to get a fake lover ( preferably one that could annoy his parents just for the laughs ) until he found his true love.

FATE TIED THEM TOGETHER IN A PLACE FOR THOSE LOST IN LOVE. when they had first met—her impression on him was that he was drop dead gorgeous and wow did she win the lottery. whilst his was along the lines of disappointment that she wasn't ugly. after changwook dropped the bomb of him needing a horrible girlfriend, her first choices of words to him had made him smile in satisfaction. obviously, she wasn't too happy to be a fake horrible girlfriend, but then he offered to pay her (and she found out he was rich through that so she's not complaining ). and so, they concocted a plan to assist him in stalling for time so he could find his true love ( she admitted that his puppy love for that girl was adorable so she even decided to help him find his girl—with some extra payment of course ).

but then he really played the 'i-only-love-her' kind of boyfriend really well ( probably because he's already like that, just channeling and amplifying that side of his on her ). it also meant they had to get romantic and what not so that no one else realized their horrible attempt to be loving ( thank god people just thought they were the bickering kind of couple rather than a fake...somehow ). she's also trying her hardest to ignore how easily he could make her heart flutter and stomach burst into butterflies because of how handsome he looked and how nice he actually was. she's admittedly jealous of the woman he loved and only could hope that he would find her ( because she didn't want him to end like her, plus it wouldn't be the first time she got over a broken heart ). and it always made her envious when she knew that he couldn't care about her appearance, all that mattered was that she was a person who he fell in love with because of their bond and because she was just being herself.
( but she truly fell in love with him when he had been there for her when ahn bohyun had wanted to get back with her due to the changes in her appearance. he had been here to hear her scream and get drunk in the karaoke bar singing all the revenge songs she could sing and listen to her woes.

it's probably because of this that said love rival ( named yoo inyoung a.k.a. a , in her words ) managed to get her hand on his phone and pinpoint the woman he loved. and it's probably because of that. that she managed to steal her phone and use it to make herself seem like the woman he loved. it's even worse that she got emotional once she lost the phone and they both got into an argument before breaking up the fake relationship.

he couldn't help but laugh, she ended up asking who the hell put drugs in his meal, the whole family goes crazy as they tried defending themselves as he continued laughing like a mad man. then he started screeching 'it's you' as he pointed at her causing, even more, misunderstandings and him practically dying from laughter. and as the family debate continued to get even wilder, he pulled her into a kiss. obviously, that led to her brother chasing after him and her becoming flustered.
they started dating not too long after and there was never a day where she didn't nag him for not showing her his damn phone because the mystery would have been solved so easily. he did not deny that, but he did say that it made it all the more fun. plus, he's now greatly smitten and she's extremely embarrassed by how loving he was. no matter, she found the guy she loved after all.

well, i think she would just be a seriously wild and eccentric character to have?? like honestly, her weird family and self are just an abundance of humor ready to be used. plus, she's just someone who seemed confident to the people who's close to her to the point they forget how insecure she actually was?? i didn't get to explain it that much in the information bits but she's never really showed how insecure she truly was. she even thinks she didn't deserve to exist and finding a lover is just a way for her to feel that she mattered. so when changwook told her she's just fine the way she was it meant a lot since they were in a relationship ( albeit it was fake, but it was still something ). and who else is going to tell crazy stories about how she and her brother and his friends tried to shoot their neighbour's car with bb guns and broke it ( she dearly loved her brother and knew that he was willing to sacrifice himself for her, so that she did ).plus no one had yet to apply for this plotline jk jk.
