Hello, guys...I hope you all are fine.

It’s been one week since the wedding announcement of our lovely couple and I was thinking a lot ever since. The news is indeed very happy news for all of us. After two years speculating and even claimed they both love each other, it indeed happens.

I knew DOTS several months after it was aired. I was on recovery from a surgery and didn't allow to leave the house, so I decided to watch kdrama. I was following Moon Lovers at that time and knowing the series will have tragic ending, I asked for another drama recommendation to my friend, a drama which can make me tolerate the Moon Lovers ending, and my friend gave me Descendants of The Sun. I fell in love with the story, for it’s very close to my real life because my hubby is a doctor and I know how doctors work. Adding with my cousin who married to a soldier, I know a lot about both jobs. Not to mention the believable chemistry between Hye Kyo and Joong Ki, making us think they both perfect for each other.

After the drama ended, I began to search for any fanfics about DOTS and I came across AFF. I, myself, felt the drama gave a lot of plotholes and somehow my writer’s instinct kicked in and I started to write fanfic again after being hiatus for a year for DOTS. My readers responses were amazing and I was very grateful for that.

Some of my readers may know about me not being their shipper. Yes, I’m their fan, both individually and together, but never shipped them together.

Why?

I had bad experience on shipping a couple before in another fandom which ended with the woman cheated and ruined the whole fandom. The unlucky event opened my eyes about how life is unpredictable and we never knew what truly happens between the couple we shipped. Even so, I can see how Joong Ki already interested in Hye Kyo since the beginning and I always wonder if the rumors being them dating ever bothered them, especially Hye Kyo. She is the biggest star in South Korea, has bright and stable career while Joong Ki just gained his popularity because of DOTS. I’m sure not many of you remember him in Innocent Man/Nice Guy (I even watched the drama in 2013, one year after it released and when he was enlisted) and somehow his popularity skyrocketed after DOTS. What happens now to Joong Ki is just a beginning. He needs to be clever to maintain his career, mostly if he wants to pursue Hye Kyo.

The news of their upcoming wedding, honestly, makes me happy and also worry. Happy because they truly love each other and worry if somehow they were together because of the pressure from the fans who want them to be together. But, after watching several interviews of Joong Ki after the wedding announcement, I can see how happy and sincere he is and I believe he is true to his feelings.

And that leads me to write this farewell letter.

I’m a fanfic author and I write fanfics, but what happened between Joong Ki and Hye Kyo is real and I don’t think I can write fanfics about them, even in DOTS fandom. I want to respect their lives as the future husband and wife and support them in their careers after they wed. I believe they will become a good couple, mostly after reading Joong Ki’s statement which he said he would be an actor who works for his career and to become a family man. Like I said to a fellow writer, those words are very powerful and I wish Joong Ki could keep his words as a man.

So, starting from this day, I will no longer write for SSC fandom because SongSong Couple is real and not just our imaginations on how we want them to be together. Also, it’s a respect from me as an author not to interfere their private lives as a couple. Besides, I can see some writers already wrote amazing stories more than I could, even one of them could give double updates hehe...I don’t think I can catch up with that. As for ongoing stories, Love Against All Odds and To Love Again, I will pull both of them from AFF, but I still have both drafts in my laptop, in case any readers want to read the full story, but with terms and conditions. I apologize to a fellow author whom I already made promise to do a collab and even asked her help to make me a poster for my new story. I apologize too for not being able to keep my promise to write a side story for Book 2 and finished both LAAO and TLA. Also, in several recent updated chapters, the comments and responses begin to lessen and lessen, and I think all of you might interested to other stories which can fullfill your imaginations about our lovely couple, so there’s no need for me to update anymore.

As for my account, I will keep it active for readers who still want to read my completed stories or for me someday to write again even it's not for DOTS fandom. You can still say hello or add me as a friend, and I only ask not to plagiarize or steal my stories even though I’m not in SSC fandom anymore.

The last, but not least...thank you so much for your kind words and your friendship during my time in AFF. I will never forget it :)

And to the lovely couple, may the light shines brightly in every corner of their marriage life.
