The state of WPHYS (Why People Hate Your Story)

Although no one is asking, I thought I would do an update on the state of WPHYS. Basically, I haven't updated that in about a year and I'm telling you a bunch of excuses so you can pick the one you are satisfied with. It eases my heart because I get so many ideas and even draft and half-write many of them but never finish or post them.

1) I am a college student. I got to learn and no time to learn it. This is mostly a big excuse because I practice all my other hobbies to the point of obsession, but writing/ranting is currently not one of those things that will cause me to detract from school. Reading is still topp dogg.

2) I love to read. Literally at least 30-40% of an average day for me is spent reading in some manner. That is including sleep and school. I am constantly reading and have no time to rant about the things I hated. I just pick up another electronic copy of a book.

3) I mostly don't do Kpop/fanfiction anymore. With my increase of reading and new genres to explore, I don't really care to invest my time learning new bands, reading fictional stories about the members, and basically fangirling. It is a time consuming hobby that is mostly dependent on my ability to care for an idol. I've never been a particularly good fangirl in the first place. So I like kpop music still, and I still want to watch kpop variety shows, and if I find a good fanfic I might read it, but I simply want good quality content consistently, and fanfics are not that. There is more to this point that can be saved for another blog post in half a year.

4) Because I am reading normal novels, I can't rant about them the same way I do about fanfics. Trust me, I still want to rant, but fanfics and novels have different structures, audiences, and expectations. What works for one doesn't work the same way for the other. I hate having to warp my perspective on fanfics by tying in how books are written.

5) Ayyy, I got an internship this summer. I should be asleep instead of doing this update. Lol, good night.

9) Nine seems like a good number
