currently her hair is her natural color of a dark brown. she has bangs that frame her face and her hair falls down to the middle of her chest. her cheeks are a bit on the chubby side and her teeth aren’t the straightest, but her eyes are wide and fairly big. ahri is on the shorter side and she has a bit of a belly, but she’s overall in average, healthy shape.

eahri isn’t the most fashionable, but she does put a minor effort in her wardrobe. no bright colors, however, and nothing too uncomfortable or risky. she has more of a casual street style, the type that looks like not too much effort was put in. sneakers are an all-time favorite and it’s her preferred choice of footwear. she gets most of her outfits ideas from tumblr.

at her high school graduation, everyone paused when her name was announced because they had no idea who she was. this pretty much sums up ko ahri’s entire existence. a girl who prefers to ride solo, ahri is definitely used to being forgotten in the bustle of everyday life. and that’s okay with her- for the most part. having grown up with features that weren’t necessarily desired, she formed an insecurity of not only her outside, but her inside as well. she’s a girl with many thoughts and ideas, and she’s been criticized for the way she rambles about them in the past. now, she’s afraid to share her thoughts with other people and prefers to keep them all to herself, to avoid judgement.
as mentioned previously, ahri is a girl with many thoughts and ideas. she’s been blessed (or cursed, depending how you see it) with natural creativity. thoughts and imaginations scramble through her head all the time, and she usually pauses to sketch them out or write them down. when forced into social situations, particularly at the bar, ahri is is witty and even blunt with her words. because she prefers to be alone, she truly doesn’t care how she speaks and how it affects others. no filter exists with her words- sarcasm is a must. Don’t think she’ll just come at you with a snarky remark out of nowhere, however- it’s only when people speak to her first.
ahri is a nervous girl when it comes to expressing her thoughts or her art. she’s constantly afraid of judgement, so most of her creations are kept under lock and key. when it’s time for her to turn in one of her pieces for an assignment, it makes her so uneasy that it keeps her up at night. even if she receives a good mark on the assignment, she doesn’t let it ease her worry because she convinces herself the next piece wouldn’t be as good. relating to her nervousness, ahri is extremely defensive when she receives criticism. even if it’s helpful and presented politely, it still makes her upset and she won’t resist to use her wit to defend herself. she realizes it comes from a deep-rooted fear of judgement, however she can’t help it. Her art is a sensitive subject to her. she had definitely upset people in the past before when they were only trying to be helpful and friendly.
not a girl of brawn but instead a girl of brains, ahri is quite intelligent for her age. she can thank her constant studying in school for that. one way she describes it is like a sponge- her brain being a sponge and facts being the water. her true passion lies with art, however, so she only used her smarts in situations where it’s necessary.

ahri grew up living a normal, middle class life. however, her parents were extremely judgmental and expected her to be a study machine, churning out good grades. and of course, she did, to appease them. but she couldn’t deny her true love of art, that she discovered when she was a young child. in middle school she tried showing her parents all of her drawings hoping they would like them, but they heavily disapproved. in fact, her mother even tore them up right in front of her. this traumatized her, and started the seed that would lead to her deep-rooted fear of judgement. after that, she focused on her grades and hid all of her drawings from her parents. in high school, she applied for an art major behind her parent’s backs, and she got in. she moved to seoul with her parents furious at her, but she felt a little spark of happiness.
currently, she’s studying in the department of painting in college. she lives in a small studio apartment by herself, and her parents pay half of the bills (of course they’re not pleasant people and they don’t approve of her choices, but they’d rather not be known for having a daughter that lives in the streets). ahri was able to get a job as a bartender at a nightclub, and she low key hates that she has to put on a friendly facade to serve customers. However if she doesn’t, she won’t get good tips.

— ahri dabbles in many forms of art, but her main focus is painting on a canvas and digital painting. before she does any painting on either medium, she'll do a quick sketch first.
— in her downtime ahri sometimes finds herself watching game shows- for some reason. they annoy her when contestants get the wrong answer, and she'll sometimes find herself yelling at the tv.

— despite working with alcohol, ahri herself never actually drinks it. she's not a fan of drinking, mostly because of the hangovers she would get when she went through a drinking faze in high school. so she quit it alltogether. sometimes people at the bar ask her to take shots with them but she has to polietly decline.
— ahri can't sleep in complete silence. there has to be a background noise. but she also can't put a tv on, because the flashing of the screen keeps her up. so she usually just puts on a fan, not caring about the "fan death" misconception.
— some habits include, forgetting her phone at home, wearing mis-matched fuzzy socks at home because she forgets to match them, leaving her tv & laptop on all day. biting the tips of her fingers which leads to chips of nail polish coming off in (immediately she regrets her decisions).

— ( she keeps talking to me even when i don't respond ) yeol myung ji — 19 — she met her by accident one day, ahri dropped her books and myung ji helped her pick them up. now, whenever myung ji sees ahri around the campus she acts like her friendly self, trying to talk to ahri but of course ahri is a bit reserved. she does think myung ji is cute and that she's a nice girl, she just doesn't open up to her (at first)
— ( you talk too much ) — eun haera — 21 — ahri doesn't really know haera too much at first. she only met her a few times when myung ji came up to talk to her and she was with haera. she knows haera likes to talk about her outfit, though ahri tends to say nothing in responce. ahri will start to get closer with the two girls, though, thanks to hoseok. especially when hoseok finds out from ahri that they have pocket bangtans too, and he wants to see his friends.

WHY DID YOU APPLY FOR A POCKET BANGTAN?
+ i guess i just… was feeling a bit lonely ? don’t get me wrong, i’m used to being on my own and i don’t mind it. but i don’t know, i just found myself on the pocket bangtan website and the idea was just calling to me.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH A POCKET BANGTAN?
+ hm. i suppose i would talk to it, ya know, fill up the silence in my apartment. maybe i could show it- i should probably start saying him, not it- i could show him my artwork and see what he thinks before i actually turn it in. stuff like that, i suppose. i just want him for company. i don’t need any help with cleaning or stuff like that. he could if he wanted to, i guess.
HOW WOULD YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR POCKET BANGTAN?
+ care for him ? i guess i would just- feed him, and stuff like that. i hope he can bathe himself without drowning. maybe i could buy a little toy bathtub. if he doesn’t mind, it would be cool to keep him in my pocket when i go places, just so i know he’s okay. i’d store some snacks for him, of course.

PERSONALITY :

hoseok is for sure a people-pleaser. he loves when people can laugh and smile in his presence and he's not embarrassed to act like an idiot to achieve that. he is a bright and kind person and this radiates off of him. anyone could tell from a glance that this man is very happy often. however, when he's not happy it has an affect on everyone around him. despite his sometimes childish behavior, hoseok is rather mature with his thinking. he's not immature about his responsibilities and he's quite reliable because of this. hoseok is not someone that get's angry easily. it would take a lot to get him angry and if that point is reached, he can be scary.
often times, hoseok is so caught up in keeping everyone else happy that he sometimes forgets to check if he's happy. he's definitely not one to worry others with his problems and prefers to keep all of his troubles to himself. no matter what situation he's facing, he'll always have a smile on his face. despite his mature mentality, hoseok can be... a coward. he is easily frightened by many things. he can barely walk into a dark room by himself, he would need someone to come with him. if something jumps at him, expect A HUGE SCENE of him flailing his arms and screaming and causing a ruckus. he is very passionate about his dancing. dancing is his soul, and he's confident in it. however, he's very humble and isn't one to go showing it off to people. overall, he's a very beautiful person inside and out (woops my bias is showing).
INTERACTIONS : ahri couldn’t be more of a complete opposite of hoseok. but in that way, they bring out the best in each other. for example, hoseok is scared of being in the dark, so when they’re trying to sleep at night, ahri (who is completely fine in the dark) offers comfort in the form of her finger. hoseok hugs it tightly and it gives him the comfort he needs to sleep. alternatively, hoseok is an outgoing sunshine, and he encourages ahri to be more social and outgoing. he inspires her to be more like him, and throughout the story she begins to open up more to the other girls and even become good friends with them, thanks to hoseok.
in the beginning, i can see them bumping heads with each other. ahri is used to silence, and it drives hoseok crazy. his constant talking to her and trying to get her to play around with him bugs her at first. i can picture her even contemplating returning him. but it all changes when he sees her art. it warms her heart that he’s such a big fan of it and it eventually warms ahri up to him, and she’s more open to getting to know him and talk to him. which leads to heart to heart conversations, silly movie nights, and lots of snuggles.
all of this leads to the realization for the both of them, that-‘oh , we’re in love.’ ahri is not sure what to do with herself when it comes to this. she’s never been in love before. hoseok is far more open to his feelings, and he’s not shy when it comes to telling ahri how much he loves her, causing a blush to dance across her cheeks. they’re not sure how to make it work with the huge height difference, but they’re willing to try. and trying includes little pecks along ahri’s cheeks, causing her laugh because ‘hoseok, it tickles!’

— ( ahri... thank you ) there's no denying that hoseok soon becomes ahri's biggest fan, he loves the art that she makes. he asks her sometimes to draw him and she shyly declines, scared that he wouldn't like it. but she can't help it one day, and she sketches him just on a wim. she has to get really close to his face to be able to see the details, which causes him to blush slightly, but he's so small that she has to. she scans it and paints it digitally. when it's done, she reluctantly and shyly shows him, scared of his reaction. but he loves it, and it actually makes him emotional. cilck here !
— ( you did not just say that ! ) similar to above, fanboy hoseok comes out again. this time it's at one of her classes, and ahri is sitting by an easel and painting. hoseok is chilling in her pocket, eating some snacks. one of her classmates approaches and starts harshly judging ahri's work. she turns red and starts replying with her usual defensive wit, but hoseok in her pocket is not standing for this student's words. he's shaking around in her pocket, trying to hell at the classmate and ahri has to stuggle to contain him in her pocket. classmates all around stop and stare, and ahri is so embarrased.
