Christmas Giveaway Winners! + Retroaction on 2016.

First of all, I want to know if you guys all had an amazing holiday? Either it was Chrismas, Hannukah or anything else, I dare to hope that it was filled with love and that you are and will remain healthy! This is the most important thing in life.

Actually, also, I wanted to apologize since I know I was supposed to update the name of the winner yesterday but, well, life trapped me a little bit and I was swamped into that endless circle of things to do and events to attempt. I would have made a few blog post throughout the holidays but since I was prevented from doing so, this one will serve as a bigger one to compensate for all the things left unsaid during the time I was away.

Retroaction on 2016

First off, I would like to make a little throwback on the past year we spent together. 2016 has been crazy, really, filled with so many new stories, projects and all. It was also filled with sad moments, happy ones and, overall, life lessons we should all be able to learn from. I think, as an amator writer, 2016 has been my platform year where I literally jumped into that place and started taking things seriously. Not that I didn't take them as maturely before, but my style really grew better (at least in my opinion) during the last few months. I worked extra hard to get out of my comfort zone a few times, giving you guys stories you might not have always expected and I am glad that I did so because it helped me grew as a writer.

As everyone else, there is things that I feel I could have done better. I know I deceived a few of you by giving up a few projects or simply being away or late on the updates (especially in the past 2 months) and I wanted to apologize for that matter.I've been really dragged along a path that gives me lesser and lesser free times recently and I am trying my best, believe me, guys. Also, throughout the past year, I put some work I did on 'draft' with the hope that I could maybe make them better or simply because I didn't like what it happened with them. That's why I think you deserve a little update about what's about to come and what, unfortunately, won't.

I decided to abandon a few projects that won't be renewed or continued. Along the few projects that I decided wasn't worth my time are 'Summer of 1964' , ' Hidden Paradise' ' Kalopsia' & ' Love Songs'. As a writer, it is not always easy to write and even less when you are not inspired to do so. I apologize again to all of those who liked the story plot and were looking forward to them. Surely, the majority of them weren't updated in a while so you probably saw that coming in a way or another.

I've decided to also put on pause a few projects that I will be continuing later on when time won't be a problem anymore. Along those, are two of my main ' chaptered' stories started back at the end of the last summer 'Fields of Gold' and ' Lion Heart'. Please take note that they won't be discontinued, only postponed until I get the time to work on them at the rhythm I wish to do so.

My main priority will be my three on going chaptered stories. Starting with ' Wolf Blood' who got a regain in popularity in the last months.  Also ' Play Your Ace' that will be rethought to offer a better 'thriller/ suspense ' experience. I will also focus to finish ' Love Me Like You Do' before the end of summer 2017. Along with that, I will try to continue with the whole ' oneshots' concept that really got you guys apparently.

Also, I wanted to thank you guys because, while 2016 isn't even over yet, I can already affirm that we more than double in subs. I am not the type to like bragging and, I beg you to understand, this is not the point of this blogpost. Only, we reached two milestones in the sub category on a really special date for me. On December 26, the day of my 21st birthday, we reached over 18 500 unique subs and also 4000 subs on ' The Bachelor ' alone. This makes 'The Bachelor'  my most popular story, beating even ' Love Me Like You Do' within only 6-7 months from the date of it's release, being at the end May. It means a lot to me, guys, since it implies that you not only followed me through the adventure of writing about BTS more but that we are growing bigger as a family. For that, I will always be thankful.

(insert special thank you here)

More than that,  2016 also saw the end a few projects of mine. One of the biggest ones was, for sure, ' For Your Entertainment' . While it was a project I started with a dear friend of mine, it is also a first since it was the longest story I had ever written, all sites combined. That project meant, and still means a lot for me, it was the first collaboration I really did with someone and it proved to be working very well. Still to this day, Unicorngirl7 is an amazing friend I can still rely on and who I grew to create a real imaginary world with. Together, we became a duo a few of you knew as a great team and, while time also became a bit a of a problem for us, we don't plan on giving up on our collaborations and we will, eventually, come back stronger than ever. She is one person I honestly like to look up to and she is a truly interesting person inside out. I sincerely believe anyone would be lucky to have her as a friend.

Also, 2016 means a lot to me for a special reason since I met another amazing human being. In real life, this time, I met with a girl, at the beginning of January, who changed me and my vision on the writing world in general. At first, I never thought she would mean that much to me but she does now (hell you have no idea)  and I wouldn't change it for anything in this world. A few of you might know her as another one of my co-authors, but Mariiie grew to become a close friend of mine, in and outside the fandoms we so devotedly write for. Together, we came up with the story ' Not So Brotherly Love' , aka bro, and she is the secret behind a lot of my oneshot's plotlines, giving me her idea on pretty much everything beforehand. We also became an undefeatable team and I know, just like with my other dear friend Raisa (Unicorngirl7), she will be there to stay through the years.  What is kind of fascinating with this girl is the facility with which we connected. It was like we turn from strangers to childhood friends in the time of an hour class and we grew stronger ever since. ( Literally, our teacher thought it was weird to see one without the other and people thought we were friends since we were five. We were like' oh no, we just met a few months ago' (while Marie was like sitting on my lap nonchalantly, must I precise.) )

If you girls read this, please know that I love you both a lot. You mean a lot to me and you allowed me to grow up to become the woman I am today. From the bottom of my heart, thanks for being there for me.

Also, how could I forget, I should thank you all guys. Through the year that just past, we became a real group, a family as I like to call, that I know can cheer me up and encourage me to give out my best. I want you all to know that I cherish every comment, every message you send me and that, without you, writing would not be as fun as it is. I know you will continue to follow me through our endless journey and I know you know me well too. I may not be the best with grammar or the most present author on the site, but I do mean every single word I say and I do love you so very much. Every story I write is for you guys and it comes with the purest of intentions. (yes, even when it is the naughtiest worthy scenario ... ) /grins/

2016, despite the joking, has been awesome even with it's ups and downs. I've gotten closer to my college friends and they are like family now. They've given me so much love and motivation, and I've had so many memorable moments with them that I can't list them all.

THANKS FOR BEING AN AMAZING AUTHOR, LAU! I'm so happy to be able to accept such awesome gifts. I hope 2017 treats you as well as you have treated your readers! Much love

One thing I'm glad about 2016 is that I met more new people who make me feel welcomed and included anytime I'm with them. One more thing that I'm glad of, it's totally bizarre, is that the flu bug didn't get me this year. Being sick especially when I'm in school and work. Therefore, I'm glad to be able to dodge it this year!! Btw, happy late birthday
