I went back and looked at some of my old blog postings, for nostalgic reasons, and I found one of my first ones being a fanfic test of some sort. So, I figured, why not do it again and see how my answers have changed? Let's do it! My old answers from previously will be in red.

 

1: You're fanfiction pen name?

a: chocopop96 | mintykyu on here, but I could provide a list of pseudonyms if needed

 

2: Do you read or write fanfiction?

a: I do both but I think if I had to choose between one, I would enjoy writing more :) | Both, naturally 

 

3: When did you first start reading/ writing fanfiction?

a: For reading, well I stumbled across this very site by accident by googling Big Bang interview.... I found a fanfic that had an "interview with Big Bang" in it and realized it wasn't real...XD As for writing, I had been intrigued by the site and wanted to write my own as I had always been fond of writing little uselss stories and poems so I started plotting my first fanfic around June of 2011 and becamse a member on here in December where I then started to write my first fanfic as soon as I was a member. ^_^ | In terms of reading, it was way back in the olden days of maybe mid 2011... That sounds about right. I know it was through a Big Bang fanfic of some sort and it was on this website. As for writing, I started writing pretty much as soon as I discovered fanfics were a thing. So about mid 2011 for that as well.

 

4: What was your first fandom?

a: VIP! | Big Bang's VIP

 

5: First ship?

a: To be honest, I didn't know k-pop had couples that you could ship so before this site, I didn't have one...But, soon after I found some couples that are truly otps and my first one was Eunhae ^^ | I think my first ship, actually to discredit the information above, was G-Dragon plus a member of 2NE1... Whether it was Dara or CL, though, I can't be entirely sure. 

 

6: What website do you use the most?

a: Pfft, there's so many I use daily~~~ AFF, Facebook, twitter, muzy, youtube, eatyourkimchi, allkpop, weather, google, southkoreaaddictblogspot, and many others~~~ | Well, CURRENTLY, I probably use YouTube, GMail, Google Docs, and Facebook the most. 

 

7: What do you think of AFF?

a: I think it was a fantastic idea because not only does it lets us indulge of fantasies of our biases but also we get to have fun writing! Plus, I can't even tell you how many nice people I've met from around the world on here :) | I think its general idea is great, and I had LOADS of fun writing in here during 8th grade and my first couple years of high school, but once changes were made to the site and audiences began to rapidly change, it wasn't as fun as it used to be, hence my hiatus from the site. However, I'll still always be very grateful that AFF provided me an outlet to do something I've always enjoyed, writing, because I still write to this day, I just don't publish anything. :s

 

8: What fandoms have you written?

a: Mainly ELF, a bit of Shawol and Cassie and one measly little one with VIP....I don't do girl fandoms, sorry, it's just not me >.< and I'm working on getting my EXOtics done (I don't know what the real fandom name is yet so I just call them that cuz that's what I've heard most often XD) | If we're including works that I haven't posted, then ELF, Cassie, Shawol, VIP, EXO-L, and Starlight are the only ones I believe. 

 

9: Pairings?

a: Eunhae, Kyumin, Yewook, Homin, Jongkey, Zhoury, a mention or 2 of Kangteuk and I'm still working on getting my Kaisoo and Baekyeol's finished ^^ oh yes and Wonkyu | Well, in terms of pairings I've written in, then that would be Eunhae, Kyumin Yewook, Homin, Jonkey, Zhoury, Kangteuk, Wonkyu, Kaisoo, Baekyeol, Hyukbin, Kenvi, Chabin, Leobin, Luck, Neo, Navi, Rabin, ahhh the VIXX pairings could go on for pages honestly, hahaha. 

 

10: Any fandoms you would like to write in?

a: I'm currently working on a short story for Infinite, I would also like to branch out and do some YunJae soon.... Other than, I can't really think of anything else..Oh! A Teen Top pairing might be in the future ^^ | Not necessarily that I can think of... 

 

11: Do reviews affect how you write in a story?

a: Well, if I ever was reviewed, I would bet that it would. I don't take too kindly to constructive criticism sometimes so it might make me mad at myself if I let someone review my stories...-_- | Of course, but hopefully in the most positive way possible. Although as I said before that constructuve criticism can get to me on occasion, I remind myself now (nearly five years after writing that) that I've been given that advice for a reason and that, instead of getting angry, I should transform that energy being formed into motivation to better myself. 

 

12: Do you use beta?

a: What is that.... | Normally, if there's a beta situation, I beta in terms of proofread and then let my friend read over it to check that everything matches up with how it needs to. 

 

13: What ratings do you read/ write?

a: I write / / comedy to the best of my abilites and I read pretty much the same thing...I like fluff sometimes as well too :) | I read pretty much anything and everything so long as the plot appeals to me. The only thing I haven't given a go is yuri, but there's a time for everything. 

 

14: What warnings have you used on your fiction/ read?

a: I hardly ever put warnings for my fics up....:/ | Trigger warnings (mainly in my unpublished ones, though, because it seems old me didn't know wtf a trigger warning was and blatantly posted without a second mind), (ofc), , pwp, and violence normally are the ones I put with my disclaimers generally. 

 

15: Do you have any squicks?

a: Do I have what?? | Going back on this, I believe a squick is like a pairing I don't like, and thinking on it, I don't think I have one really. 

 

16: Do you role play online?

a: No. I don't understand that and it irritates me whenever I get those rp ads on my wall.... | I super tried a couple times as role playing, but I just couldn't get into it. 

 

17: Have you ever stolen from another person's work?

a: No. I wouldn't want it to happen to me so why would I do it to someone else? Plus, I want it to be my own original idea that makes the story popular. | Absolutely not. 

 

18: Favorite fandom to read/ write?

a: ELF!!!! | Starlight. 

 

19: Favorite pairing?

a: You're killing me... It's be a tie between Kyumin and Yewook because I just recently developed a crush on Yesung and plus it's fun to write Yewook :) | Oh god... That's rough. I would have to say Chabin most likely. 

 

20: Favorite writer/ writers?

a: emii_vipelf, LadyVamp and Jessie_G_ | Don't have any currently. 

 

21: How long should a chapter be?

a: It really depends on what you're trying to get across in the chapter itself... | Whatever it takes to get the point across and progress the story. Confining yourself to a set amount of words/pages limits what your mind can develop, and ultimately affects the quality of the writing. 

 

22: Do you read/ write drabbles?

a: Yes. | Of course, I devour those. 

 

23: Any fandoms you avoid?

a: I can never EVER   manage to bring myself to read yuri.... Ever... So I avoid pretty much all SNSD fics..(prease, don't hate me) and I also avoid fics with pairings in it that I don't know well enough like say MBLAQ pairings or B2ST or even EXO.... I don't read them cuz I don't know their personalities well enough... | I wouldn't say there are fandoms I avoid, but there are obviously fics I won't read because it's revolving around pairings I'm not familiar with. I think that's a given for everyone who's reading. 

 

24: Pairings you avoid?

a: Refer to one question up. | Ditto on this question. 

 

25: Warnings you avoid?

a: Girlxgirl or boyxoc....other than that I'm pretty much fine with anything ^^ | Nah, I don't think there's anything I'd avoid now. I've seen a good bit in fanfics now, so nothing really has a surprise factor anymore. 

 

26: Do the number of reviews tell how good a story is?

a: It could, it could not, but when I'm scrolling through a story, I'll look at it's comments and see if they're positive and what others think about the story. | Eh, it depends. The system here is a bit crooked from how it used to be; if you have loads of karma points, it doesn't matter if you have good writing or good stories, your fic can still be put into the spotlight. I generally read the forewords and first chapter of a fic to gauge whether or not it's good in my opinion, I don't rely solely on reviews and comments. 

 

27: What do you think of Mary Sues?

a: I don't know what that is... | I think they have their time and place in certain fanfics. Depends upon the plot. 

 

28: Have you ever flamed someone?

a: I guess not...? | I would hope that I haven't. 

 

29: Have you ever been flamed?

a: I realy don't know...-_- | Not that I can recall. 

 

30: How many fanfictions have you written?

a: To date, 21. | Oh dear God... Should we include the ones I haven't fininshed? Because that would up the number dramatically. Let's go ahead and do that, so see the sharp contrast. So, as of December 5th, 2016, including my WIPs, I have a total of 50 fanfics, some ongoing, some completed. Probably a good 75% of those are rated M, though, hahahaha. 

 

31: What genre's do you read/ write?

a: Read--horror, , , comedy, romance, fluff, thriller, mystery

Write-- , , comedy and maybe romance. | I read pretty much the same that I write so , , fluff, mystery, thriller, suspence, horror, supernatural, comedy, and romance. 

 

32: What story of yours has the most comments and how many?

a: Abstinence Is Out The Window-----241 comments | Therapy, and it sits at 434. Looking back, for a 16 year old writing that, that's pretty well accomplished. Although, if the Starlight audience on here were larger, and I actually uploaded some of my unpublished fics, I could probably surpass that. 

 

33: Most words?

a: I would assume the same one, Abstinence Is Out The Window because it's my longest one.... | Probably the same on, Therapy, as it's the longest one I have on here. In terms of fics I haven't uploaded, then it's a fic I've called Glitch, a VIXX fanfic with a couple OCs involved. It's currently at a little over 106,000 words, and it isn't even finished yet (I'm writing this for a friend). I foresee another good 75,000 words tacked onto it by the time it's finished. 

 

34: Which one do you like the best?

a: There isn't just one in particular that I love the most but I really was proud of myself for my homin story "Ya, I'm Hungry!" | I really like a fic I'm working on right now called Shadowed, it's a Keo fic. I might, once finished, actually publish it on here. 

 

35: Which one do you like least?

a: Any of my early works...-_- I wanna kill myself for thinking that what I wrote then was good.... | I'm going to stick with this answer, because reading ANY of the works I have published on here just makes me want to drink cyanide. You could obviously tell I had little writing experience and was a teenager in high school. Thank god for improvement is all I can say. 

 

36: What do you think of het stories?

a: Awkward....Beyond awkward to read especially if it involves your bias as the boy....O.o | Stomachable, especially considering I myself am heteroual, but it depends on who's in it and how well it's pulled off. Some are awkward, some are amazingly written. 

 

37: Slash ?

a: My home XD | Much more comfortable for me to write in, ironically, as I've never been experienced nor watched over a type of relationship, even to this day in my twenty years of living. Perhaps it's because I sort of "grew up" on that idea in some of the first fanfics I read. 

 

38: Favorite het pairing?

a: Skydragon :) | I'm not sure if there is one right now for me. 

 

39: Favorite slash pairing?

a:....you're kidding, right? *sighs* Alright, if I had to pick, I would have to go with EUNHAEKYUMINYEWOOK YOU I CAN'T PICK JUST ONE! XD | That's also a very hard thing to answer, but I think it'd come down to either Leobin or Chabin. 

 

40: Do you write about original characters or canon characters for fandoms?

a: Wut..... | OCs, yes. As long as the story warrants it. There are some stories that brew in my mind where it would be awkward if the MC were anyone but an OC, but it's a rare occasion. 

 

Your stories----

Choose your top three stories (or oneshots) you like best.

a: Hmm..... Therapy, Experiment and Hey! That's My Toy! Give It Back! | Probably Shadowed (unpublished), Afternoon Drive (unpublished), and to add one that was actually written on here, Hyukkie, You're Not Doing It Right! because the idea behind that story was actually pretty decent, and I think for a 15year old, I wrote it pretty well compared to some of my others. 

 

What's #1 about?

a: Yesung and Ryeowook are hitting a bump in their relationship so they go to couples therapy. It's therapy and they have to do odd things to rekindle their spark. Their therpist is Key. | So this is the Keo fic I spoke about a few questions previous. Essentially Ken is a barista being preyed on by Leo, who's a pretty socially inept person who hasn't kept a constant relationship. At some point, Ken will find himself being stalked by Leo. What happens after that will have to be discovered if you read it. :8

 

Number 2?

a: Eunhyuk just got dumped by his girlfriend and he's really gloomy. He notices all the Eunhae shippers at a conference and starts taking to realization that he's been so close to Donghae that maybe he might want to experiment and be wiht him. | This is a much shorter story than Shadowed is, and is a Chasang (N/Hyuk) story. The setting is N driving down the road one afternoon having intense flashbacks about losing his love, Hyuk. He pulls into the cemetery where Hyuk is buried and has a breakdown. 

 

Number 3?

a: Yesung and Ryeowook have spent ome time apart and Ryeowook gets a bit antsy so he gets a toy. But Yesung doesn't want him to have it. | So, regarding Super Junior's pretty famous song Bonamana, they do a nice hip ing move at some point in the dance. In this story, SJ's on a variety show and they're asked to demonstrate this move. Eunhyuk rates Donghae nicely, but Donghae gives a scathing rating instead. So Eunhyuk takes matters into his own hands and decides to *ahem* give Donghae some lessons on how he actually is very good at the hip ing dance. 

 

Why do you like them?

a: #1 because it's really fun to write...I probably have the most fun writing that one out of all my stories. And number 2 and 3 because I think I wrote them well enough and I liked the plots I made for them :) | As a general reason, they're all written pretty well compared to some of my other works. Add in the fact I like the plots that went with them.

 How many favorite authors do you have?

a: Not many, like probably around 3-5? | 0 as of now. 

 

Favorite stories?

a: I love love love Miseria Cantare and Lunacy Fringe.... I also like A Butler Must Always Pleasure His Master and My Soul To Take and La Luna Theater. | Oh god, there are a solid ten maybe that I've read that I go back to time and time again to read because I just love them so much. Most of them are on LiveJournal.  Among them I think is one called maybe Dollhouse (that sounds right) by I think qigaui (LJ)? And a Tumblr series of fics dubbed as My Lady from wth-am-i-writing is one of my all time favorites. The entire series, really. 

 

What genres are your favorite stories?

a: Range anywhere from to fluff to angst (mainly) to comedy. | , horror, and angst pretty much. 

 

Will you read someone's stories if they asked you?

a: Sure. Why not :) | Of course!
