violette was born as violette alma roux in paris, france to her single mom who has a well growing business of her bakery. at one night, her mother tucked her into bed after reading a bedtime story to her. she gave her a locket with a picture of their family and then hugged her like it would be her last time doing so. being only a five year old, she didn't seem to notice and just embraced her tightly. the next day after she came back from the nursery, men in blue are in the house. she was so scared that she kept calling for her mother. her nanny is already crying while holding onto violette. the officer who is also a close neighbour to the family only could muster, "i'm sorry but taeha is... gone". the five year old girl then understood what the officer meant and cried in her nanny's arms. it turns out that her mother was killed by hired killers, the police found out that the real murderer was her mother's own relative which gave violette a shock for the man was actually her family.

the 5 year old violette is now an orphan and has no close relatives as her parents eloped when they're young. the officer that was on her parent's case decided to adopt her as her own. she is known as officer delilah seo but to violette, she is her umma now. as the officer didn't hire a nanny or a caretaker for the girl, she would bring violette to work sometimes as long as the little girl behaves. basically, the police office became violette's playground as her umma's co-workers are cool with it and basically dotes on her.delilah tends to have lots of kpop in her song playlist which that made violette love kpop from a very young age.
her infinite love for pranking started when one of the inspectors sabotages her umma's lunchbox that she set up some y traps all over his table like a fart cushion, sticky pens and etc. after a lot of pranks towards to the people she doesn't really like in the police station, delilah found out and interrogate her in their home after her night shift. but instead of scolding her, she gave her a head noogie and chuckled, "you did good, kiddo. i'm really impressed." with violette giggling over the matter with a wide grin ahead.

violette started to join singing & dancing classes to keep herself busy and her umma didn't want to risk to her daughter being known by possible enemies. her adopted mother then got a job transfer back to their hometown which is in seoul, korea when she turned 13.

❝ holy mother of eclairs, i'm late! ❞ — her day starts at 5:30am. she gets ready in her sportswear and off she goes out for a jog. by 7am, she'll be back in her dorm for breakfast, take a shower and to the company; heading into the practice. from her dorm, she'll have to take a bus for it and gets on it, there are also times where she'll go with chaeyeon as their schedules pretty much collide together. while being in the bus, she'll text her umma a "good morning" and "wishing you lots of luck on catching bad guys" with her umma then replying with a "you too, fight-o!" and lots of emojis.
