Giving Up

So its only been 4 days since I started a new semester in community college and I’m already giving up. Its so hard for me to pay attention and I often doze off. There is one class I am really freaking out about, which is speech. Being in front of a class scares me to death. There’s like 5 presentations we have to do in the class and I get so much anxiety thinking about it. Oh and by the way I wrote this during my history class because I stopped paying attention and I didn’t want to take the time a figure out what he’s talking about. I’m a really bad student.

Anyway, I know I should be paying attention, but I just don’t have the drive to listen. I just find it really boring and I honestly don’t like school, but I kinda have to be here. I need to get my together and actually try, so that’s why I posted it here. Sorry for my rant, but I need some advice on how I can do better with paying attention. And I’d also like to hear what struggles you readers have in school.

I personally love learning (not school per se, but learning) so I don't have to force myself awake. However, if you find yourself dozing off, try to force yourself to listen. If you really can't or don't want to focus, consider dropping the class?
