Anyone from Thailand/has been there???

This Saturday, I'll be leaving to Thailand... Unfortunately, the tour only set us to Bangkok and Chiang Mai. SO, I won't really get a chance to see Pattaya T.T

Since the places are set. I will just ask about the DOs and the DON'Ts. I heard that we will be visiting a lot of temples. Are there certain rules when we get there?

Also, I want to ask where I can find a good place to shop... I have to bring a lot of souvenirs for my friend...

Thank you!!

Be sure to take t-shirts and clothes for summer as it is really hot over in Bangkok!

I was born in America and raise in Thailand but now I'm back in America!
When you go to the temple you'll have to take off your shoes. Also at the temple some of them have a rule that you can't show skin, so if you're planing to wear short and tank top (cuz it's freaking hot in Thailand) I advise you to bring a pair of jeans and t-shirt.
There's this Hello Kitty house that open last year in Pathum Wan, Bangkok. The cake there is not that good but it's really cute~ it's a 3 story building I think. I'm not sure if the building is finish yet tho, it should be. Also near the hello kitty house there's a mall and a little k-pop store (not sure if it close) that is hidden.
Night market in Thailand are really cheap and they sell cute stuff and good food.
And definitely go to the beach! It's really fun!
If u want to know more I can ask my cousin (cuz she go everywhere) and tell you more about thailand ^^

Oh! I've been there before. Well I have a vacation house in Pattaya so I don't know much about Bangkok but when we went touring it was pretty fun! I mean we went to the grand palace which is beautiful asf.

There are several night or weekend markets that sell stuff pretty cheaply - problem is most are off the grid. At Terminal 21, on the ground floor, there's a pastry/bakery stall 'Pattara' that sells really yummy and cute stuff - great for souvenirs. I bought a bunch of the cookies and 'angry bird piggies' pineapple cookies. If you get the chance, take the the river taxi at least once. Wait till you get on the boat to buy the ticket. Don't get scam by the guys on the docks. And the train experience is amazing if you like train rides. An be sure to eat lots of street food. Have fun!!

OMG I hope you have fun. Like sleepingprince said do not touch anything there (the Buddhas) also you can't wear shoes so take those off before entering.

The tuk tuk is expensive at night. About temple i think you should be respectful , wear approriately , dont touch anything there , if you saw the monk bow as a sign of respect , do not stand above / the same level as the monk.. You should stand one level down ..
