EXO's Suho has denied the rumors about him being a 'golden spoon star'. 

During an interview with the media outlet Hankyung.com, Suho explained why he was not born with a golden spoon in his mouth.

To the question regarding such rumors, Suho strongly reacted with the words, "No, it's really not like that." He continued, "My father is a professor, and my mother is a math teacher. I also live in Apgujeong-dong, and went to school in Gangnam, so many people misunderstand... But I guess that's what they consider a 'golden spoon'..." 

Suho continued to explain, "It's mostly due to how I often bought things for my members. During our trainee days I was the only college student while the others were in high school. I had some money from my allowance so I used it for my dongsengs. All of that led to the articles and portrayals of 'Suho must have been born with a golden spoon', but in reality it's not really like that."

As of now, Suho says he is far from being the wealthiest in EXO, "Nowadays all EXO members make good money. I actually became the cheap one because I never pay when we go out for a gathering." Then he picked Chanyeol as the 'wealthiest' member of the group, because he is now the one who frequently pays when the members get together.

Well, it seems like Suho is not a 'golden spoon star', but just a golden star.
