speaking up

Pretty straight forward, and I haven't written a free-form blog in a long time.

  1. So, recently, I participated in this debate competition (with eunjieun14, actually) and I realized how ironic it is that I can speak up to and reprimend complete strangers and reprimend-tease my friends but I can't do that to the group in between. I can't seem to raise my voice at aquantences, because I'm scared of something that I honestly can't identify. It just scares me, so I keep it in.
  2. People who put themselves on a pedestal piss me off
  3. I need advice - if I sleep at midnight I'm rejuvinated by 6 in the morning and only feel tired again lunch time, but if I sleep at ten I'm tired at six and rejuvinated at lunch before being tired again at six pm. If someone can explain why this happens please elaborate, because my sleep cycle is killing me.
  4. I think I'm going to harbor a fever in a few weeks
  5. Pisces is my horoscope for a reason, although only my close friends realize it (though not all of it applies to me)
  6. I've become orally insecure
  7. To add from already being physically insecure
  8. Got7's "If You Do" is too true in my life in a completely platonic manner
  9. My eyes burn in a fever-way almost 24/7 now (strangley not when I'm having classes on my native language or doing math)
  10. I'm physically drained but I'm stupid enough to procrastinate (and I'm reprimending myself as I type but I'm too mentally drained to homework)
  11. I can't bring a jacket to school despite my tiredness because I unfortunately do not own a black jacket and I haven't found a comfortable one to purchase yet

A few things to celebrate in recent days, though

  1. I enjoy the books I'm reading in class
  2. My bestfriend recently got into Got7
  3. There are only three more days until BigHit is obliged to give us comback information
  4. One x Bobby x Mino is something I cannot miss
  5. Sassy, Go Go  is good for stress-relief (except when they're being angsty, then it gets really sad)
  6. Bēhance is good company
  7. It takes me less time to fall asleep now
  8. BTS and Jae's tweets keep me happy
  9. I understood a physics concept yesterday
  10. My friend gave me a YG Concert 2011 Photobook

So basically, just two lists to help me keep my thoughts sorted. Honestly, when people tell me that k-pop is useless it really pisses me off, because it's helped me stay positive (esp. Got7's Just Right and BTS's little quirks). You're allowed to dislike it, just don't tell me it's useless. Maybe one day I'll grow out of it, but don't ever say a music scene is useless, it becomes a driving force or sense of hope for a lot of people.

I'm probably going to be really inactive until April next year, aside from the occasional story comment or (potentially) a oneshot/shortfic I've been working on. No promise on graphics, maybe layouts once or twice a month. We'll see how that goes.

+ This had a really long rant, but I eventually deleted it and made lists.

you might be physically and mentally drained with your eyes always burning when you're too stressed out. Obvious much? Well there it is. Stress might be a reason so I'd suggest de-stressing for a while. And by a while i mean QUITE A WHILE.
It happens to me too pretty often because I have university exams and I have a LOT to study lol. So here are some tips that have worked for me ^^

1. Talk to your parents or something and get some time off.
2. I always take a few days off every now and then and binge on fruits (YES, FRUITS. YOUR FRIES CAN HAVE A GO ANOTHER DAY, EAT FRUITS WHEN YOU'RE STRESSED DAMNIT) and watch a lot of anime :3 (yeeeeeeeeeeeSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS AAAAAAAAAAAAAANIMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEE YYYYYYYYYYYOOOOOOO).
3. Also, it's useful to have a full tray of ice cubes. Before you go to sleep every night, take one cube in each hand and rub it all over your face. Especially around your eyes. Pat with towel afterwards. Go to sleep at once, don't stay on your phone or anything. The cold will cool down your face from the whole day's heat and stress and it also helps with sleeping ^^
4. You need a minimum of 7 hour's sleep, flat. So whatever time you go to bed, make sure you get enough sleep.
5. If you have a lot to study or stuff, waking up at 4am is good. Studying early in the morning is the best thing ever - memory retention is at it's best at this time. Trust me on this one ^^
6. DRINK. WATER. H2O. LOTS. NO EXCUSES.
7. PROPER BREAKFAST PLEASE, YOU KNOW YOU ALWAYS READ THIS BUT SERIOUSLY ITS IMPORTANT #Q#

Well these should be good enough ^^ It won't hurt to try them, especially the ice cube thing. Temme how it goes and g'luck :D!

Hey! Was that your first debate tournament? I totally know how you feel- during my first Model UN conference, I froze up, had no idea what I was saying through the entire thing, and felt SUPER orally insecure for like... a month or two afterwards. It took me a while to get over my embarrassment. PLUS it was full of snobby, stuck-up people who were acting like the .

And honestly sleep schedules are such a mystery LOL I have ZERO idea how mine works too... we sound the same smh except i sleep at 12 or 1 AM every day and I'm tired the whole day.. until it comes time to sleep. and lol............. #10 100% applies to me, smh. PS I LOVE SASSY GO GO THATS HOW I DESTRESS TOO AHHH
