ANNOUNCEMENT: Buying Upvotes and Subscribers From Shops Warning

Recent news on AFF has informed me that some people are actually going through ad shops to buy upvotes and subscribers from people. Now, I thought this was the latest trend or something, but apparently, it's not a trend and rather an underhanded tactic some users are enforcing. If you are buying upvotes or subscribers from any ad shops, STOP RIGHT NOW.

Apparently the owner of AFF is also going to look into this in the near future, so if you guys are buying upvotes or subscribers from anywhere, then please stop right now before you get into any deeper trouble.

There's also another user (more like a sub account) who's keeping track of those stories HERE. This doesn't mean that we can go to these people and bash at them and stuff. No, that's not how things should work on AFF. Just keep in mind, spread the word, but please, don't go and start scolding them or bashing them for doing that. Let's just create a better community by spreading the word on blog post or stories or other AFF sources.

I'm not a professional on this kind of topic and I don't know the exact specifics. Personally, I don't mind people doing this, but I guess it does cheat off the system for those who really want the upvotes and subscribers. I'm going to tell you from experience: I've been writing on AFF for almost five years and wrote 30+ stories, and getting featured might be something you want in the beginning, but it's going to be more worth it when you sincerely put effort into it and get people to actually like it.

Four years ago, I really wanted to be featured, but I was lucky enough to have some of the best readers on AFF to show me that being featured isn't everything and that writing for fun is a heck lot better than the fame. You guys probably don't believe me about "being featured is not everything", but just you wait. Stay long enough on AFF and keep writing, then you'll learn the joys of it rather than the greed of it.

So, I'd like to take this time and thank me readers for their honest support: those who gave me upvotes, those who subscribed, those who commented, and even the silent readers. You guys all rock! :D

i still don't get why people should buy subs and upvotes ,
i hope that they'll understand that people will upvote and subscribe to their story if they find it interesting , so they should try to write better instead ^^

Omg, that's pretty bad. I used to be so intent on being featured too, but then I realize I'm supposed to have fun writing here. I think it's important to know what writing really means to you. Personally, I'm just glad people read my works and I'm glad I can write something.

I find these ads/upvotin shops pretty annoyin.
I just hope that the more these new writers start doin this along with the 1 tht started the shops,just stop completely @ what they're doing or else their acct (personal+bot ) would get an immediate ban.
