i dont know why some people still believe this company
people should read this someone post
"Not an SNSD fan lol but your post has illogical holes in it.
Most new kpop fans don't know SME's history of originally kicking members to the curb after they have used them for every penny they can get - especially those members who want "more" (according to SME's PR those members end up being called the ungrateful, unmoral, traitors, etc.).
History of Kicking Out:
1. HOT was a major money maker throughout Asia. SME still decided to kick three members out of the company even though they literally already made pennies for how much they were worth at the time. Moon Hee Jun and Kangta remained. Moon Heejun's popularity dropped a significant amount - less fans remained than SME expected so SME kicked Moon Heejun out too even though he had all album preparations ready. He was so devastated and broken at the time that his mother went begging on the streets for fans to help release his album. His fans basically crowdfunded his album then. Even though Kangta's popularity dropped a lot too he was a SME favorite and we all know SME favorites get perks no one else does in the company.
2. Shinwha LITERALLY left SME together because SME was only planning to renew the contracts of the most popular members and wanted to kick the other members to the curb. Eric sacrificed his greed for more and instead convinced all the members to leave together. Shinwha made a lot of money back then too.
Next, let us talk up the 'OT9' value system. Although, SNSD was marketed as the 'true 9' etc. so are ALL other kpop groups especially if they are from SME. TVXQ5 also promised that they would always remain together, and so does every other group - even Exo said the 'true 11 the true 10 ' etc. until they stopped because people kept leaving. This is a marketing strategy, even if behind the scenes these people are literally just co-workers. SME learned an important lesson from TVXQ's split. And what is that? That it doesn't matter at all to the public or fans if even the majority of members leave as long as the brand is kept in tact. Rules are 1. Even if majority leave keep brand in tact. 2. Make the ones who leave seem immoral or like dirty traitors to convince people to buy into the changed brand. 3. Block the ones who leave while spewing constant negative PR (ALSO plant 'insiders' into every fandom to spew 'hidden' unknown secrets that people will believe irregardless of if they are true or not - happened with TVXQ also apparently it is happening with SME. These 'insiders' are most likely on SME's payroll to convince fans someone normal is evil satanic spawn).
Groups that broke up but brand was kept in tact for market value:
1. TVXQ - 3/5 members left
2. Exo - 3/12(?) members left
3. SNSD - 1/9 members got kicked out
SME will probably do this in the future too.
A last note on this post - I am not a Jessica or SNSD fan but I follow some of their news. It is VERY telling when Yuri said that she would get SNSD's 'permission' before starting something herself. Basically, that implied that Jessica did not get full consent or whatever to do solo work which benefited only herself. And that is the ONLY and one of the major reasons she was kicked out. They knew the brand would still hold value.
Also I want to let new fans know that I am not sure but am I the only one noticing that SME has too many people in it's roster and thus too many people they have to 'support' 'listen to' 'have on their paycheck' etc. Eventually SME will start kicking out people like their day old strategy in order to debut more fresh blood. That can also go two ways:
1. SME PR tricks after kicking member out making themselves out to the victim and the other party the perpetrator of ungratefulness blahblahblah
2. Having members silently and quietly retire without making a peep
I am really interested in seeing the future
#popcorngif"
and i never understand sm system they are too money oriented
even after 15 years working and spending your life there you still cant get the freedom and cant take advantage for your own while the company works the artist until they fainted and injured
even Lay studio proposal got rejected first and he kept trying until approved by them and they just approved it after Luhan Kris left, they need chinese market there no chinese popular members anymore so there no choice to not accept Lay's
and it's sad the snsd members did take part of kicking her out they look like just dolls
NOTE:
it's weird some people still deny snsd didnt take part of kicking her out or no power when they can pick their own songs for album, create outfits, visual director and yuri even said she has to ask snsd permission for jobs
