ACT? Help?

Okay, so I'm taking my second ACT test this week, and I really need some tips on it. Looking at my first ACT score, I did relatively low with reading. I've been going online and practicing and I just can't seem to hit a high mark with reading. I'm good with English, okay with math, and getting better with science, but I'm not making any improvements with reading, despite the different tactics I do.

So… If you guys have any tips for the reading section, please comment below? Much appreacited! (^_^)

For me, jotting down the main idea (not the topic but the idea) helped. Marking up the thing in general helps a lot (underlining topic sentences and stuff), so maybe online isn't as effective in that way. Just a few notes, not super long in complete sentences and paragraphs, just little 4-6 words and signs (i.e. =, +, etc) to remind you, and checking back on it every once in a while during the questions really helped me.
Putting in my twopence :)

Well said joinmymisery read question then essay. If your doing the writing do an quick outline before writing, check spelling and sentence structure. I was so happy when i got the ACT and SAT over with got a 32 on act and 2200 on SAT. We had a small school and the principle had all seniors in lab to study. Math teacher help with math, English teacher with English and ect.

Are you taking the one with the essay? My only tips is maybe look at the questions first before you read the essay so you know what you're looking for going in and don't spend extra time having to flip back for details.
