Hello guys, this is urge_l. I took time to visit the site while in my academic hell week to tell you that all my fics have been corrupted. :------(

Yesterday at around 12 midnight, my laptop was attacked by a certain ransomware called Locker. It hit all my docs, ppts, and some jpg files. Here's s link of a discussion in reddit by fellow victims but the gist is that it attacked computers yesterday at 12midnight (local time zone) and it encrypts your files and makes them unreadable. The authors of the virus ask you to pay a certain amount for them to decrypt it. To make your anxiety worse, it has a countdown of 72 hours. Once the timer stops, they claim to corrupt your files so that they'll be gone forever. It's kinda creepy how no one knows where it came from and how we got infected since, I, myself, have dedicated my life (lol) in protecting my computer from malware. 

So now my fics are gone (since I save them as docs) and I haven't backed up in like forever. The things I wrote for My Maria's sequel and Pulp Friction are all goooone and I'd have to start from scratch. :----(  I'd probably have to start a new plot for My Maria's sequel because I haven't checked it in like months and I kinda forgot what I wrote. Although I can still remember what i wrote for Pulp Friction, it'll take a while for me to write it up again. 

So kids, please be extra careful with what you do in the internet. Always back up and stay away from malicious sites. Visit the reddit link to check whether you have the virus in your machine. And I hope you will all be patient with the updates huhuhu Don't leave meeeee. T3T
