This has been a rough week for everybody in the TVXQ!, JYJ, and DB5K fandoms. Seeing poor Jae cut his beautiful hair and enter the military, looking lost and solemn in the last pix we have of him—all that was bad enough. 

But then we also have brave, strong Yunho who so rarely cries breaking down at his final Japanese concert. The videos I saw of that moment made me sob. Especially with Changmin tearing up, too, and Yunho's long, ninety-degree bow. It felt like the end. Not just goodbye for a while, but goodbye forever. 

I keep wondering if Yunho's contract with SM ends while he's in the military or if he thinks we'll forget about him while he's gone. The farewell seemed deeper than goodbye for military service, especially combined with Changmin's speech.

As for all our Yunjae hopes...

This may sound weird coming from a hardcore Yunjae shipper and writer, but I honestly don't think real-life Yunho and JJ were more than close friends. For me, the worst part of the DBSK breakup was seeing these men who had survived so much together get torn apart. I don't think a Yunjae reunion (in the friendship sense) is likely because Yunho and Jae won't be stationed together. My only hope is that some rabid Yunjae shipper in the military arranges for their paths to cross. ^^ My fondest wish is that they have to chance to talk things out one day, away from the glare of the spotlight.

In any case, Yoochun willl be enlisting too. And possibly Changmin. We Cassies and BigEasts have been lucky enough to have these men in front of us for over ten years now. Despite all their hardships, they've always been visible to us. Hardly a day goes by without new pictures or new videos of them surfacing online. We'll all go into withdrawal without our constant supply! But I hope that some time away from being celebrities is good for them. And I hope that somehow, some way, they can all reunite and become friends again.
