WAS DIE FICK ?! ?! ?!
So I opened my email, and I saw this news article (I have a google alert for the tags, #exo, #exo-k, and #exo-m) that has a headline that says:
Former EXO Members Kris and Luhan to Settle Legal Battle with SM Entertainment, Rejoin Boy Band
I checked the date, and it said "April 1, 2015". Like, what? How am I supposed to react to this? Am I supposed to be happy, or sad, or what? Tbh, I was pretty pissed off because Luhan and Kris' dispute with SMEnt is NOT TO BE MADE FUN OF. Like, srsly.
Do you have any idea how much I cried that day it finally sinked in that Luhan left EXO?
Let me tell you a real quick story of how I became an EXO-L/Kpop fan:
My sister (or a friend, I think) showed me EXO's Showtime, or was that Weekly Idol ft. EXO? Anyway, I saw that, like, October 2014. I also watched 'Wolf', and wow. They all looked the same to me. I mean, really. I even saw 'Mama', and honestly, Kai freaked me out back then. In 'Wolf', Xiumin looked like a sassy to me. So, I did some research, watched their Weekly Idol's (because they were wearing name tags), and eventually watched EST. After some time, I got to know their names. At first, EXO-M's faces were the easiest to familiarize, because there were distinct features. And then came EXO-K.
After which, I could FINALLY point out who's who in 'Wolf' and even 'Growl'. And here's the thing: I was looking for a familiar face, and whaddya know? The dude with pink hair in 'Growl' made the most impact to me. I even had to research his name and facts and stuff, and what he looked like in 'Wolf' just to make sure. Ah, Luhan. His name was Lu Han. Nice. Simple, easy to remember. His face, too. Though I would have to agree that most of them looked like girls at some point, but he looked like a girl the most.
It is now November 2014.
When I told my college blockmates who like Kpop that I'm into EXO now, and that I know all their names, and that I like Luhan. And then, one of them, A, said: "Luhan left EXO already."
I was surprised. At first, I didn't believe her. So when I got home, I seached the net, and read every news article about it, and found out that yes, Luhan had already left the group, and that Kris also left earlier. I was depressed, really. I mean, I finally got into the hype, and picked out my bias, but it turns out my bias already left the group. So, what now?
I then decided that a TRUE fan would support their decisions, and would continue supporting the group, even if their bias leaves. Really, I feel sad, yes. But whenever I see pictures/video clips of Luhan in China, smiling, laughing, just happy in general, yes, I miss the EXO-brotherhood moments, but I realized that I should respect his choices, and be happy for him.
This is what I told my sister when news came out that Zayn left 1D. You can see which are the true fans, and which are those who are only pretending. I/We are in no position to tell them to go back, unless they want to/decide for themselves. Guys/Girls, they are grown men. They can decide what they want for themselves. They can even start by wearing dresses and gowns for all I care, and I'd still support them. I'd still watch them if they would visit my country. I would still sing along to their songs.
Long story short,
THIS BETTER NOT BE SOME SORTA SICK JOKE OR I WILL CUT A NO REALLY I'M SERIOUS YOU DO NOT USE LUHAN AND KRIS AS AN APRIL FOOLS PRANK ON ME
