appearance » Subin has medium-length brown hair and dark brown eyes. Her skin is only a little tan even though she spends a lot of time at the beach. Subin has a tattoo of flowers that coil around her left thigh. On her right ear, Subin wears a dragon ear cuff and, similarly, on the middle finger of her right hand she wears a gold dragon ring. 

style » Subin has an obsession with sunglasses and dragons. No matter the weather, Subin will always carry around her trusty sunglasses. Subin is known as The Golden Dragon because she appears intimidating and walks with confidence and elegance. Subin is quite blunt and honest-- sometimes a bit too honest-- and that often enough leads to misunderstandings and conflict. She can be quite rude and y at times but other times, it's just her brain-to-mouth filter glitching and she blurts out things without realising. Subin hates swearing, she prefers using big and fancy words to make herself sound more intelligent and condescending. 
Subin is sarcastic and witty by nature, she's always been like this. Most of the time, she fails to empathise with other people and is quite oblivious to how other people feel. The only exceptions to this are her family and Suga.

Despite being sarcastic, snarky and blunt, Subin-- if you're on her really good side-- is actually caring and protective at times. She worries over those she cares about and she gets quite motherly (though this happens rarely). Her self-esteem is very high and she is very confident in herself and because of this, Subin hardly stresses too much. She finds stressing a waste of time and she hates watching others stress because it annoys her seeing them panic. 

Another thing that Subin is known as is the 'eye-roll queen' because she's constantly rolling her eyes whenever someone says something idiotic or incorrect. She does it so often that she doesn't even realise that she does it anymore.

TRAINEE LIFE » Subin became a trainee in 2012, when she was 20. She tried her best to make the most of her training; practising as often as she could with all her might. Sometimes, she would stay behind in the practise room and train even more until the early hours of the morning. Motivation and dedication were two things that Subin possessed. She never really interacted with the other trainees as much, she would always end up saying something that was offensive (whether she meant it to be or not). She would mostly just stick to herself, occasionally talking to the other trainees who were just as sarcastic as her. 

background » Lee Subin was born in Busan, 1992, and she was raised there by her mother, father and older brother. When she was a toddler, Subin was energetic and would speak fast so it was difficult for others to understand her. Her mother would always read her children's stories that rhymed because those were her favourite, Subin refused to listen to a story unless it would rhyme. When she got a bit older, Subin would spend the majority of her free time at a beach that was close enough to her home. Her brother would be the one to take her and the siblings would happily play together, under the sun. 

Fourteen-year old Subin had noticeable talent, even at the young age. She had developed a love for rap and she found herself idolising the legendary Eminem. Subin holds much respect for him and that art of rap. It wasn't long she attempted it herself. She would memorise lyrics and spit them back as well as she could, stumbling over word after word. Though she wasn't very good, she had potential. She would try writing her own lyrics in an attempt to create/find her own flow and see how far she could push past her limits. Of course, Subin was only an amateur. Her lyrics were sloppy and she struggled to create a vibe she was comfortable with. Even still, she wouldn't quit. She kept on pushing herself forward.

The dragon ring that Subin always wears is a family heirloom and was given to her by her mother when she was fifteen. The ring originally belonged to Subin's great-grandmother who then passed it down to her daughter, who passed it down to Subin's mum, who passed it down to Subin. The dragon ring is extremely important to Subin and it's also what started her obsession with dragons. 

It was when Subin was eighteen that she noticed a change in herself. For so long, she had only really focused on rapping but then adulthood drew nearer and she realised she didn't have a back-up plan. Stress and panic took over her and she hadn't the slightest clue what to do because the chances of her actually becoming a rapstar were highly unlikely. She would think about the future and then that would lead onto thoughts of failure and disappointment. Subin was terrified that she would become nothing, she was scared that she would never be good enough, she feared the very thought of failure and she found it hard to imagine a proper future for herself.

The stress of growing up killed her on the inside.

But, luckily, her family were there for her. When they noticed Subin's odd behaviour, they new something was wrong. They sat her down one day and had her talk about everything on her mind. Her brother was the most understanding and he hugged his baby sister tightly while their parents said nothing but encouraging words.

It took a while, and a lot of convincing, but eventually, the sarcastic and witty Subin was back and more confident than before. With her self-esteem high, she began practising more and more, dedicating most of her time to developing lyrics that were truly her. 

At the age of twenty, Subin decided that it was time. Gathering up her courage with little effort, Subin auditioned for Starship Ent. 

When the results of her audition came back, Subin would've been lying if she said she wasn't a little surprised. She was confident in her rapping abilities but there was still that gnawing feeling at the back of her head that said she wouldn't get in. But she did and Subin was ecstatic. Her family was more than happy but they were sad to see the youngest member in their family go (even though they were the ones who packed her bags).

→ Father || Dong Hyun || 51 || Lawyer || Donghyun is a fairly strict parent, he doesn't tolerate Subin's snarky behaviour and used to often ground her. But he really does love his daughter, he wants the best for her and when he's not grounding her, he's weak. He can't bring himself to say no whenever Subin wants him to buy something for her, unless of course he's really angry at her.

→ Best friend || Suga || BTS  || Suga is Subin's absolute best friend. Though Subin was snarky and sarcastic when they first met, Suga's dorky and loveable nature broke through the girl's snide comments and the two became quite close friends. Ever since their meeting, the two had been spending as much time together as possible, quickly becoming best friends. Suga's fun and crazy personality seems to be one of the only things that can turn Subin into a mushy, cuddle-bear. But, despite popular belief, the two have no romantic feelings for each other. 

→ Rival || CL || 2ne1  || CL is as nice, as funny and as cool as she is on TV. She's talented and down-to-earth and everyone loves her. Except for Subin. Although the two have never met, Subin always finds herself being compared to CL, the great leader of K-pop super-group 2ne1. She cannot stand being compared to others and because of the constant comparisons, Subin has convinced herself that CL is her rival and someone that she must beat.
