in the world of temporary k-pop groups, of course mystic story wanted to jump on the never ending bandwagon — but of course, they had to do their own spin on it. meet cliquish, a y2k inspired girl group that has a contract of two years.

the catch? once the two years are over, everything they once had worked so hard for will be gone. music videos, social media, streams, videos, everything will be deleted forever, like cliquish never existed in the first place.

the idea behind this unique concept is that things don't always last forever, and people have a hard time understanding this, so cliquish is the perfect way to get mystic story's point across. once cliquish is gone, it will all just be a memory that will never be forgotten, hopefully.

because of this concept, mystic story was having a hard time finding trainees who would be willing to participate in this, so the company decided to go a different route. through auditions, mystic story will hand pick several girls with no prior experience in the k-pop industry to live out the idol life for two years, going back to their normal, everyday lives once it's finished.

yes, i’m at it again with yet another fic for the summer… but this time, it's a little different from my other fics. the application process will be a lot faster, having a deadline in late july or in august. the pacing of the story will also be in increments of a month or so, i’m not a hundred percent certain.

this is also a soft relaunch of girls zone. with girls zone, i had fun writing it but heavily lost motivation throughout the last year, so cliquish is another version of it.

cliquish is heavily inspired by unus annus, a channel by markiplier and ethan nestor where they uploaded videos for a year and then deleted the channel. of course, this is also inspired by the numerous temporary groups, but mainly the produce groups, as well as blackswan, niziu, xg, and vcha.
